VACANCY: FOR ONE LECTURER(LANGUAGES)

Applicatichs are invited from suitably qualifiedcandidates for the post of cin Languagesat the Federal Emergency Science School, Lagos.

2. Scale of salary.—Scale A plus 10 per centcontract addition: £792-1,740 per annum.

The point of entry will depend on previousprofessional experience.

3. Qualifications—{i) An honours degree inFrench or a general degree with French as one ofthe subjects offered for the degree.

(it) A Diploma in Education or equivalentqualification for those with a general degree wouldbe an additional qualification. ,

4. Duties-To lecture on French; to help inteaching French at Evening Classes; to help super-vise junior staff in his department; to assist inextra-muralactivities ; and to carry out other dutiesthat the Senior Lecturer-in-Charge may reasonablyassign to him.

5. Other conditions of service—{i) Appointmentwill be on contract for two institutional. tours of -9-10 months each in thefirst instance.

(if) When an officer is occupying Governmentquarters, rent is payable at the rate of 8$ per centof basic salary subject to a maximum of £150 perannum. -,

(i#) An outfit allowance of £60 is payable to anoverseas officer on first appointment.
