THEfollowing notes are for the guidance of persons submitting “copy” for

inclusion in the Kenya Gazette, Supplement, etc.:

(1) The Kenya Gazette contains notices of a general nature which do not affectlegislation. They are, therefore, submitted to the GovernmentPrinterdirectly.

(2) Legislative Supplement contains Rules and Regulations which are issued bythe central Government. Because ofthis they must be submitted to the

GovernmentPrinter through the office of the Attorney-General.

(3) Bill Supplement contains Bills which are for introduction in the NationalAssembly.

(4) Act Supplementcontains Acts passed by the National Assembly.

All “copy” submitted for publication should be prepared on one side of an A4sheet no matter how small the notice is. each page being numbered, and should be

typewritten with double spacing. Copy should be clear, legible and contain noalterations.

Particular attention spould be paid to the following points:

(i) Signature must be supported by rubber-stamping or typing the name ofthe

signatory in capitalletters.

(ii) Dates must be correct and filled in where necessary.

(iii) Care should be taken to ensure thatall headingsto notices and references to

legislation are up to date and conform with the Revised Edition of the

Laws of Kenya.
