MADE FROM
CARBON FIBRE
Designed in the shape of a falcon in flight, the UAE Pavilion welcomes students to a space that is both mesmerising and inspiring. As a connected global hub and a cultural exhibition, the UAE Pavilion tells the nation’s storied history, rich culture, as well as the vision of its leaders and the ambitious plans they have for the future.
Students may also visit other major pavilions related to the UAE or UAE global businesses, such as the ENOC Pavilion or the Emirates Pavilion.
Key facts
A mashrabiya, a window enclosed with carved wood latticework, is an element of traditional Arabic architecture used since the Middle Ages up to the mid-20th century.
DISCOVER THE PAST AND FUTURE OF THE UAE
The Legacy of the UAE journey will take students on an exciting tour of key Expo pavilions and parks that explore the history of the UAE and its ambitious plans for the future.
GATEWAY TO THE FUTURE EXPO 2020 DUBAI
Every morning, Expo’s giant cube portals will open to usher in thousands of people for the experience of a lifetime.
CELEBRATING UAE CULTURE
The unique design of each portal is based on a simple equation: using the minimum amount of material to have the maximum amount of strength, air flow and shadow. It is inspired by the traditional Arabic design of mashrabiya; drawing from the past to offer an elegant and exciting new vision for the future.
