Forte dei Marmi. This renowned yet private retreat has delighted generations taking to the sandy coast of beautiful Tuscany. Its pleasant micro-climate is effected by the classic backdrop of mountains and foothills, some touched with the whiteness of marble quarried over thousands of years.

Principe Forte dei Marmi. The architecture is contemporary, simple and elegant, with the emphasis on natural materials. Dark tropical wood detailing and features contrast with the softness of render, the brightness of glass and the light stone underfoot. Furnished in the best high style of Italy, generous spaces are expertly orchestrated, and the inside crosses thresholds easily and intentionally to become outside.

Talamo and Alcove Rooms are intimate and passionate spaces. Junior and Open Space Suites are roomy and elegant. All are appointed with the best in Italian design – simple forms and furniture, soft natural colours, wide windows and warm wooden floors to create an air of calm and cool opulence.

Advanced technology integrates personal iPads with lighting and heating controls. Wide-screen TVs are state of the art. Computers and

telecommunications are fully accommodated and wi-fi connection throughout the hotel is complimentary. Rooms and suites have their own wine cooler for champagnes, whites and rosés.

Simply divided by a glass partition, the bathroom lights up to cream stone, white ceramics, wood, glass and chrome, with a giant cascading shower to drench your body and lift your mood.

French windows open on to terraces, merging the inside with the outside. The restful comfort of rooms and suites is enhanced by advanced soundproofing.

The Pool Bar serves delicious open-air light meals and drinks all day. The ground floor Onyx Bar also spills outside to cosy terraces surrounded by beautiful gardens for drinks and snacks.

Look east from 67 Sky Lounge, a new day begins with sunrise over the Apuan Alps. Look west and evening approaches with sunset over the Tuscan Sea.

The Principe SPA is a glamorous and sophisticated haven of luxury. Compositions of soft cream stone, dark, and woods, smooth glass and natural light – with accents of jade – create a restful and fashionable environment.

Exclusive experiences include the cocooning warmth of the Bio-sauna, Finnish sauna, Turkish steam bath rooms and ‘Emotional’ showers using aroma and coloured lights. The SPA also has an ice cascade, a Technogym work-out area with exclusive Kinesis equipment and an indoor vitality pool with hydro-jets.

SPA treatments range from natural beauty services to massages and special programmes for individual needs, dedicated to the wellbeing and harmony of body and soul. SPA services are also available in rooms and suites – and by the outdoor pool, which provides gentle exercise and relaxation in the warmth of the day.

Marechiaro is the Principe Forte dei Marmi’s private beach club, is a couple of minutes from the hotel. Guests have their own beach tents providing the perfect spot on the sand for sun bathing and enjoying the sea.

Attentive service provides guests on the beach with fresh fruit, soft drinks and a wide range of refreshments. There is also a lounge area and the Marechiaro Restaurant, which specialises in fresh fish and Italian cuisine.
