“Vivamuset metus.”
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
First and foremost, I would
like to give my sincere thanks
to God The Almighty for giving
my team and I the opportunity
to participate in the
international Chem-E-Car 2014
competition that will be held
in Perth, Western Australia. To
compete in the international
level has always seemed a far-
fetched goal for us. Thus, we
humbly admit that is a dream
come true for us to be able to
make it this far. The journey
of us to begin as a team was a
little unexpected, since we
never planned on creating one.
Recalling the experience we
have had throughout the 2 years
of participation in Chem-E-Car,
it all began with our simple
participation as a sub-
committee. At that time, we
have not the faintest idea of
the Chem-E-Car competition.
However, the blurred concept
was eradicated when the seniors

Chem-E-Car is a competition
engaging college students in
designing and constructing a
car powered by a chemical
energy source, that will safely
carry a specified load over a
given distance and stop.
The competition, which involves
multiple regional competitions
and a final competition at the
Annual Student conference,
increases awareness of the
chemical engineering discipline
among the public, industry
leaders, educators, and other
students.
As part of a commitment to
safety in industry and
laboratory environments,
student teams and their
advisors will be asked to
demonstrate a commitment to
safety awareness, safety
planning, and safe practices as
a standard component of their
participation. All teams are
required to carefully read and
review Chem-E-Car documents to
fully understand the
requirements to safely compete
at a Chem-E-Car competition.
As we all know, energy is a
crucial resource and has become
a scarcity in our modern and
developing world. This
competition encourages students
to think, produce, and practice
fresh ideas that they have
developed to creating a greener
environment thus, supporting
the vision.
PROJEKT HAHA
The team’s name is not erroneous, as seen in
the above. ‘Projekt’ is ‘Project’ in German
language whereas HAHA stands for the team
members’ initial nam:; Huzaifah, Afiq, Hana,
and Anis.
PROJEKT HAHA 1.0 ‘The Hatchling’
Our first car was named ‘The Hatchling’, as
the concept of the car was gained based on the
multiple experiments we have conducted. We
used Styrofoam as the body of the car, and a
recycled chassis of a toy car as the main
frame. In contrary to the size of the car as
seen in the above, we would have presumed the
car to be heavy, when it is actually not. It
