LIFE TEEN NEWS:

WOW! What a powerful weekend at DYC! Fun Fact: Our Youth

Group was the largest group in attendance. We had 25 teens and 5

chaperones. During the weekend our diocese also hosted a Youth

Convocation to discuss issues of faith, morals and evangelization,

gaining perspective from teens throughout the diocese. Sebastian

Oviedo, a graduating senior went as our delegate from Saint James.

It was a very powerful experience for him and we are proud to be

represented by him! Thanks for your service!

If you are interested in retroactively sponsoring a teen to go to

DYC, please contact Michael or drop off a check at the office.

Checks can be made out to St. James with “DYC” or “Life Teen” in

the Memo line. The cost for each teen was almost $150 and at least

two teens needed full scholarships to attend.

Coming soon: We will spending the week of 4th of July at a

“Catholic Heart Work Camp.” This is our summer mission trip and

20 of our High School teens will be serving the poor and needy of

Charlotte. Look for an “Envelope Board” in the

Narthex soon! It’s a fun way for you to be able to support us while

we work and pray for you! Some people give by going, but some

people go by giving. Come with us!
