Silver Awards Women’s Accessories Collection - September 23-24 Hello everyone! My name is Caroline Weier. I attended Nativity since kindergarten, but now am a freshman at Visitation. I am currently working on my Girl Scout Silver award, which is a project that someone does that will have a lasting affect on the community. For my project, I'll be collecting donations for Women's Advocates, a shelter in St. Paul that houses women and their children after domestic violence situations. I'll be collecting at the church before every mass next weekend. I am looking for donations of underwear for all ages and sizes, t-shirts (M-XL), pajamas and slippers for women, and all sized bras. And for the children, I’ll be collecting extra school supplies! It is very important that the community comes together to provide support for these women and children in need. Thank you! STEM Kits Collection - September 18-22 My name is Emilie Tinnes, I am in 9th grade (and previously attended Nativity), and I am a Girl Scout and working toward my Silver Award project. I am making STEM kits for a school without the same privileges we enjoy, and donations of supplies for these kits would be extremely appreciated. STEM stands for Science, technology, engineering, and math. I am assembling together kits that can be used for engineering and learning activities. The supplies I am looking for include: shoe boxes, play dough, toothpicks, paper plates, plastic cups, small plastic bins with lids, various small items with different densities, plastic straws, tape, glue, mini figures (e.g. Legos), string, fabric, marbles, plastic spoons, plastic eggs, rubber band, stick or wooden dowels. They can be dropped off at Nativity School this week (Monday-Friday). Thank you so much!
Scouts Furnace Fundraiser for Scouting Here's a great deal: Get your furnace inspected and tuned up for winter, and support Nativity Scouting at the same time! For only $50, Home Works Plumbing, Heating and Air will send a licensed HVAC tech to your home and complete a 23-point furnace inspection. And 100% of the proceeds will benefit Nativity Boy Scout, Cub Scout, and Girl Scout programs. Visit nativitymen.org/scouting to sign up.
