Happy Autumn Everyone!

September 22, is the official first day of Autumn, so I hope everyone is ready! It will be nice to have some cooler temperatures, and hopefully some rain to go with it. Autumn is probably my favorite, I love to drive through the leaves on the road and watch in my mir-ror as they all going flying around. The smells of autumn are great too, walking into the house a(er a day of canning salsa or jam, makes my mouth water just thinking about it!

Anyway enough of my Autumn ramblings! Upcoming ac!vi!es:

Friday, September 17 End of Summer BBQ and Dance!

6:00p– BBQ with hamburgers, hotdogs and a macaroni or potato salad.

7:00p – 9:00p Dance with Tom and Tom providing the music, and of course cookies and punch too. $5 will get you food and into the dance. If you need the bus please get signed up!

Wednesday, September 29 When Pies Fly

Held directly a(er birthday lunch about 1:00p

Remember if you want to see a pie thrown at the lovely senior center staff or commission-er Hopes be sure to cast a vote by purchasing !ckets. 1 for $1, 5 for $3 or an automa!c pie for $20. All proceeds go directly back to the center.

Friday from 1:00pm – 7:00pm and Saturday from 8:00am – 4:00pm

Dear East Carbon Seniors, Another month has gone by. Autumn is in the air and the leaves are beginning to change colors. Beau!ful !me of the year. We are gathering school supplies for the students as Bruin Point Elementary School to help with the children that can not afford school supplies. We are keeping busy here at the center ge+ng in shape for the long winter ahead. First Monday of each month is our Book Club. This month is Li"le Bee by Chris Cleave. The nov-el is about an illegal refugee, and Sarah a Bri!sh journalist. Sarah and her husband take a sec-ond honeymoon. They become involved in a tense situa!on with Li"le Bee, her sister and a group of armed terrorists. I’m not telling you anymore you will have to read it yourself. You may pick it up online or at the library. September is a very busy month. Labor Day is on the 6th, which we be closed. Grandparents Day is on Sunday 12th Don’t forget the BBQ & Dance on Sept. 17th, Our annual When Pies Fly is on September 29th at 1pm at the Price Center. Coffee and tea is on, come on in and visit enjoy the company. The doors are open 8am to 4pm. Have a wonderful busy Autumn. Brenda

4th Annual Bazaar!!!! Carbon County Senior Center is having their

fourth annual bazaar October 1st & 2nd, 2021

Friday October 1st Doors Open 1pm to 7pm

Saturday October 2nd Doors Open 8am –4pm

We are looking for cra(ers and or Independent Consultants to have a booth.

The cost of a booth is $30.00 per day or if you need electricity it will be $40.00 per day.
