Maintenance and repairing

Automatic Washing Machine

Because washing machines do so many things, they may be harder to

diagnose than they are to repair. For a commercial appliance, it's a

pretty complicated thing - with special timing cycles that operate

valves, motors that turn water on, spin the tub, drain water, and

control the water temperature.

By taking proper care of your Automatic Washing Machine you can

greatly prolong its lifespan and can make sure that it will perform at

its optimal level without fault. Performing regular maintenance on all

the various parts of your automatic washing machine, such as valves,

motors that water on, spin the tub, drain water, and control the water

temperature.

Dryer Maintenance: Clear Vents, Exhaust Pipes and Hoses•Do not use the dryer without a lint filter.•Check and clear lint traps after every use.•Replace plastic or vinyl exhaust hoses with rigid or flexible metal venting, if you can.•Ensure that the hose from dryer to outside vent is as straight as possible with no blockage

Check the lint trapThe lint trap is a metal screen that filters lint out of your drying clothes and should be cleaned between every load of laundry. Not cleaning the lint trap is one of the most common causes of dryer related fires. As lint builds up it can restrict the airflow through the dryer and possibly overheat the appliance. Lint is extremely flammable; too much heat can cause it to ignite, which could spread fire to your clothes and potentially to the rest of your home.

Inspect the dryer hose

The dryer hose should be inspected monthly for any obstruction, including lint, or unnecessary bends. The hot air that dries the clothes exits the house from the dryer duct which also collects lint. There is less of a chance of fire from the duct if the lint trap is cleaned properly.

Washing Machine Maintenance: Check and Replace Water Supply HosesThe hoses that fill and drain the washing machine should be checked monthly for any signs of bulging, cracking or leaking and that they fit securely onto the appliance. A burst water hose may cause floodingin the dwelling. When replacing hose parts, make sure each hose is connected securely to the correct temperature valve.

How Often Does the washing machine must clean.

This must be done about once every two or three months, but it can do this really as often as you like. If you are washing greasy clothing or heavily soiled children’s clothing – do it more often.

HOW To Prepare the Washing Machine for Storage

Washing machines are strong appliances, but they require preparation to protect them against rust or damage during long-term storage or moving. Preparing your washing machine – whether top- or front-load -- is accomplished with basic tools and supplies, and takes minimal time after initial cleaning and drying.

Cleaning the Washing Machine Debris filter

Open the debris filter access cover by pressing down on the tab and pulling/folding the cover down.

Locate the black rubber drain hose (aka emergency drain hose) and if attached, release it from its holder.

Place a towel on the floor to prevent water damage to the floor. Remove the white drain plug from the emergency drain hose, and

then drain the water in a suitable container. After water stops draining from the auxiliary drain hose, remove

the debris filter by turning it counter clockwise and pulling it out.

Inspect and clean the filter, and then reinstall by pushing it inand turning it clockwise until secured.

Reinstall the emergency drain hose cap and secure the hose in itsholder.

Unplug your machine. Close the water tap.

WATER INLET FILTERSOn the tap part of your machine’s water inlet hose andat the ends of waterinlet valves, there are filters to prevent entrance ofthe dirt and foreignmaterials in the water to the machine. If the machineis unable to receivesufficient water although your water tap is opened, these filters should becleaned

Tips for extending the life of your washing machine and dryer

Inspect the hoses

Check your washing machine’s water hoses ,if you discover any cracks or blistering, replace the hose, any damage could cause a leak or burst – and extremely expensive flood damage in your home use high-quality, stainless steel hoses.

Don’t overload Oversized loads will throw the machine off balance and that

will lead to problems.

Keep it level

It’s best to keep the machine as close to the floor as possible. The closer the machine sits to the floor, the less it will vibrate.

Use the appropriate amount of detergent

Regardless of what’s recommended on detergent packaging, follow your owner’s manual for the manufacturer’s recommended amount of detergent.

Clean the inside once monthlyIt’s common for detergent residue to build up inside of

washing machine tubs. Use a cleaner once per month to keep high-efficiency washing machines free of odor-causing residue.

Clean out the fabric softener dispenser

Liquid fabric softener is known to gum up along fabric softener dispensers. Use a damp rag and hot water to clean the dispenser periodically.

Remove finished loads immediately.Do not let damp clothes sit in the machine (this provides anideal breeding environment for musty smells and mold).

SAFETY WARNINGS

Never remove the plug from the socket by pulling from thecord

section. Remove the plug by holding. Do not plug the power supply with wet hands Never touch the machine with wet hands or feet. Never open the detergent drawer while the device is

running. Never force to open the door of the machine while the

machine is running. Since the machine can reach high temperatures while

running, do not touch the drain hose and water during draining.
