Downlights and wallwashers forarchitectural lightingFive sizes and five light distribu-tions enable perfect, economicallighting for applications of alldimensions: in large public build-ings, offices and conferencecentres, but also in smaller roomsin the restaurant and hotel sector.Iku enables large luminaire spa-cing with wide light distributionsthanks to oval light beams. Ikuwallwashers and double wallwash-ers enhance rooms and corridorswith visual width and increase theimpression of brightness. Iku ischaracterised by high luminous

efficacy and a long service life.The combination of tunable white,different light distributions andmodern connectivity creates light-ing in the sense of Human CentricLighting.

Elegant light emissionThe special geometry of the lensensures a uniformly illuminatedlight opening with high visualcomfort.

Double wallwasherThe special light distribution ofthe double wallwashers efficientlyilluminates the opposite walls ofcorridors. The diffuse, reflectedlight from the walls also illumin-ates the floor and ceiling.

Tunable white technologyJust as the colour temperature out-doors changes continuously duringthe day, the colour temperature ofindirect lighting can be adjustedindoors to e.g. support lighting con-cepts for Human Centric Lighting.

Covered or flush mounting detailAs standard, all recessed lumin-aires have overlapping installationdetails. Flush mounting rings areavailable as accessories.

Wide luminaire spacing withwallwashingEfficient ERCO photometricsallow certain luminaires to bespaced unusually far apart at up to1.5 times the distance to wall.

General lightingFor uniform general lighting withhigh visual comfort, the luminairespacing (d) between two Iku down-lights may be up to 1.5 times theheight (h) of the luminaire abovethe working plane (rough guide).

Arrangement: d = 1.5 x h

The wall offset should be half theluminaire spacing.

Arrangement: a = d / 2

Downlights oval floodOval flood

Linear lightingFor linear arrangements anduniform lighting, the luminairespacing (d) between two Iku down-lights may be up to 1.5 times theheight (h) of the luminaire abovethe working plane (rough guide).

Arrangement: d = 1.5 x h

Application area: corridors andcirculation areas.

Lens wallwashersWallwash

WallwashingFor uniform vertical lighting, thedistance to the wall (a) of Iku wall-washers should be around one thirdof the room height (h).

Arrangement: a = 1/3 x h

For good longitudinal uniformity,the luminaire spacing (d) of Ikuwallwashers may be up to 1.3 timesthe distance to the wall (a).

Arrangement: d ≤ 1.3 x a

Optimal wall distances and lumin-aire spacing values for individualproducts are specified in the wall-washer tables.

Double wallwashersDouble wallwash

WallwashingFor the uniform vertical lightingof opposite walls, the distance tothe wall (a) on both sides withIku double wallwashers shouldbe around one third of the roomheight (h). The luminaires shouldalways be positioned on the centralaxis between the walls.

Arrangement: a = 1/3 x h

Application area: Corridors, e.g.in administrative and healthcarebuildings
