A one-week training program with the resource person Mrs. Ch. Jayalakshmi, Asst.

Professor, EIE, VRSEC on “NI LabVIEW Core-I and Core-II” was organized from 16th

to 21st March 2020 by Department of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering. This

program is aimed to provide the hands-on training on development of applications using

LabVIEW software for 2/4 B.Tech. students as part of the NI Academy program. Total

number of participants was 110. This program was co-ordinated by Mr. V N Prudhvi

Raj.

NEWS LETTER

Department of EIE has organized a webinar on “Is Nano Science the Future” on 26th

May

2020 in association with Mr.Murali Duggina graduate student of NSME, University of

New Mexico, Albuquerque, NM, USA. The main objective of the webinar is to provide

the students (2/4B.tech, EIE) an interactive session with Mr.Morali Duggina who is the

winner of Engineering expo-V (2019) held at NSME, UNM. Around 50 students have

participated and actively interacted in this session. The webinar has covered insights of

Nano-science and Microsystems (Material Science).The major topics of this webinar are

Bio Materials, MEMS, Synthesis, Characterization tools, Physics and Chemistry at

nanoscale, etc. This event was co-ordinated by Mrs. A. Sumalatha.

ISSUE-2

An “Industry Institute Interaction Programme” was

organized by department of EIE, VRSEC on 9th

January

2020. The lecture was carried out by the resource person

Mr.P.Jitendra Kumar, Managing Director, Entellus IoT

Labs Pvt., Ltd., Hyderabad. This Industry Institute

Interaction Programme is intended to cover the role of

instrumentation engineers in modern industries. The

evolution of industrial organizations towards Industry

4.0 poses a set of challenges to the management.

The CPS (Cyber-Physical System) interconnection

assumes the creation and massive exchange of real-time

data originating from the factory floor, gradually flowing

to the decision makers. Data management is thus one of

the major challenges of Industry 4.0. The resource person

exposed the extremely relevant and increasing importance of Industry 4.0 in manufacturing industries for a multitude

of reasons which are useful for employment in industries. This event was co-ordinated by Mrs. Ch. Jayalakshmi and

Mr.G.Jalalu.

Industry Institute Interaction Programme

ISOI Student Chapter Events - Bug Busters

Instrument Society of India (ISOI) Student chapter organized a technical event “Bug Busters” for the students of 2/4

B.Tech. EIE to bring awareness among the students about the student chapter. The outcome of the Circuitrix is to

apply the brains in concepts of electronics and make use of this platform to bring out the electronic nerd within

students. The outcome of the technical quiz is to assess their knowledge level acquired till date in the area of

Electronics & Instrumentation basics. This event was conducted on 22nd

January 2020. A total of 19 teams (each team

3 members) have been participated in circuitrix event. K.Sabarish, K.Karthik, Y.Vijay are the winners and

R.Praneeth, A.D.Prasad and M.D. Venkatesh are the runners for Circuitrix. Dr. G N Swamy, HOD distributed the

mementos and certificates to the prize winners.

Instrumentation Day

The ISOI student chapter and department of EIE conducted a motivational

talk by Sri P.Jitendra Kumar, Entellus IoT Labs Pvt. Ltd on the eve of

Instrumentation day celebrations on 10th

January 2020. The objective of

this program is to bring awareness about the opportunities in

instrumentation. He also shared his experiences about the transformation

from student life to an Entrepreneur. He also discussed about the reasons

behind success in anybody’s life among the students. A thought-provoking

discussion was carried out among students followed by a prize distribution

ceremony with the invited guest for the winners of various technical events

organized by ISOI student chapter and Innovation day. Also, appreciation

awards were distributed to students who excelled in sports, Extra and co-

curricular activities.

The ISOI student chapter and department of EIE celebrated the

“Traditional Day” to promote “Unity in diversity” which is based on the

concept: where the individual or social differences in physical attributes,

skin color, castes, creed, cultural and religious practices, etc. are not

looked upon as a conflict. Rather, these differences are looked upon as

varieties that enrich the society and the nation as a whole. Traditional day

was held on the 10th

of January 2020 at the college. It was an eventful

day. It was observed as a celebration of India’s diverse culture. It’s a day

designated for people to come in traditional attire from their home state, or

specific culture of their choice. Students, teachers and non-teaching staff

participated with great ecstasy. To make the traditional day more

entertaining various interesting events were arranged for the students such

as Ethnic wear competition, Free hand Rangoli, Paper Art and Carving.

Everyone displayed their various cultures by dressing their best. The

atmosphere everywhere was of joy and celebration as from our busy

schedule.
