F. MATERIALSAnnouncement

Announcement is something said, written, or printed to make known what has happened or (more often) what will happen.

An announcement can also say as something that someone says officially, giving information about something in order to be known by the public.

We usually find the announcement in televisi, radio, newspaper, and wall magazine. The Sentences of Announcement usually use simple present tense or

simple future tense often enticement.

1. Simple Present Tense 2. Simple Future tenseFormula: Subject (I, You, We, They) + infinitiveExamples: I speak English.You sing a song.Subject (He, She, It) + infinitive + -s/-esExamples:☺ He passes the Physics exam well.☺ She buys a kilo of sugar.☺ It makes you to be someone different.

Formula:Subject + shall/will + infinitiveExamples:John will buy a new house next week.I shall go to Surabaya tomorrow.We shall do the best in our life.

Notes: For simple future tense will is used for subject (He, She, It).Meanwhile, shall is used for subject (I, We).

In writing an announcement, keep the following points:a. Opening, The title/type of event;b. Content, the purpose of the announcementc. Date/time, place; d. Who is the writer and for whom the announcement is;e. Contact person
