Ceftazidime pentahydrate 1.16 g equivalent to Ceftazidime anhydrous 1.0 g

Indications :

Treatment of severe infections caused by organism sensitive to Ceftazidime e.g : lower

respiration tract infections, especially pneumoniae associated with fibrocystic, urinary tract, skinand tissue infections, bone and joint infections, peritonitis and gastro-intestinal tract infections,

septicaemia and meningitis.

Dosage :

Adult : 1- 6 g/day i.v. administration be accomplished slowly (3 - 5 minutes) in divided dose on

every 8 or 12 hours. Most infections, are given 1g every 8 hours or 2 g every 12 hours. In urinarytract infections and many less serious infections 500 mg or 1 g every 12 hours is usually

adequate. In very severe infections, especially in immunocompromised patient, 2 g every 8 or 12

hours or 3 g every 12 hours should be administered. In fibrocystic adults who have pseudomonallung infections, high doses of 100-150 mg/kg Body weight/day in 3 divided doses. Doses up to 9

g/day should be given to adults with normal renal function. A single dose more than 1 g/day

should be given by i.v. administration.

Children : 30 - 100 mg/kg body weight/day in 2-3 divided doses. In severe infections, 150

mg/kg body weight/day (maximum 6 g/day) in 3 divided doses. Neonates and children < 2

months, 25-60 mg/kg body weight/day in 2 divided doses.

Patient with impaired renal function : Maintenance doses depend on Creatinine clearance :

Creatinine clearance ml /minute Dosage g /hour

31 - 50 ml /minute 1 g /12 hours

16 - 30 ml /minute 1 g /24 hours

6 - 15 ml /minute 0,5 g /24 hours

< 5 ml /minute 0,5 g /48 hours

In patient with severe infections, the unit given on the table maybe increased by 50%, in such

patients that Cetazum serum levels should not exceed 40 mg/ml.In patient with peritonial dialysis an initial loading dose of 1 g or 500 mg 24 hourly may given.

Cetazum can be added to dialysis solutions, 125-250 mg of Cetazum

usually for 2 l

dialysis solutions.

In patients with haemodialysis, maintenance doses should be repeated following each

haemodialysis periode.

Contraindication :

Patient with known hypersensitivity to Cephalosphorin.

Patient with a history of gastrointestinal disease especially colitis. Long term therapy may result in the over growth of nonsusceptible microorganism

(e.g.Candida/Enterococci).

Caution for use in pregnant and nursing women.

Pharmacology :Clopidogrel is an inhibitor of platelet aggregation. It selectively inhibits the binding of adenosine

Moderate to severe esophagitis reflux. Pathological hypersecretion therapy related with Zollinger-Ellison

Dosage and Administration :

Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease Associated With a History of erosive esophagitis.The recommended adult dose is 40 mg Pantoprazole given once daily by intravenous infusion for7 to 10 days.

Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome.The recommended adult dosage for Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome is 80 mg q12h. The frequency ofdosing can be adjusted to individual patient needs based on acid output measurements.

Instruction for Use :

A ready-to-use solution is prepared by injecting 10 ml of physiological sodium chloride solutioninto the vial containing the dry substance. This solution may be administered directly or may beadministered after mixing with 100 ml physiological sodium chloride solution or 5% Glucose.

After preparation the solution must be used within 12 hours. From a microbiological point of

view, the product should be used immediately. If not used immediately, normally not be longer

than 12 hours at not more than 25OC.

Contraindications :Patients with known hypersensitivity to the formulation.

Drug Interactions :

Pantoprazole is metabolized through the cytochrome P450 system. No dosage adjustment is needed with concomitant use of the following : theophylline,

cisapride, antipyrine, caffeine, carbamazepine, diazepam, diclofenac, naproxen,piroxicam, digoxin, ethanol, glyburide, an oral contraceptive (levonorgestrel/ethinyl

estradiol), metoprolol, nifedipine, phenytoin, warfarin (see below), midazolam,

clarithromycin, metronidazole, or amoxicillin.

There is no drug interaction with antacid.

There have been postmarketing reports of increased INR and prothrombin time inpatients receiving proton pump inhibitors, including pantoprazole, and warfarin

concomitantly. Increases in INR and prothrombin time may lead to abnormal bleedingand even death. Patients treated with proton pump inhibitors and warfarin concomitantly

should be monitored for increases in INR and prothrombin time.

Restylane Open Day in The Anniversary of

treatment area is more less, and the results last longer. While The Lip Tenting Technique is not

commonly lip enhancement, this technique injects along the lip line to increase the volume andcreating a balanced lip contour. After the presentation, dr. Tom van Eijk also teaches the doctors

to apply these techniques to their patients. For two days, the participants in each city are very

enthusiastic joining the workshop.
