So1settledinto habitofwriting the Tafseer Sundays,afterFajr SaHlh. theGraceofAllahandwiththeduasof Sheikh, Al1ah ~ b e g a n to lightenthetask, 311d gradually the'burden'ofthe responsibility gavewaytothesweetnessof researchandwriting.That iswhy noticethat1was unableto writemuch commentaryinthe g i n i g ofthe Surah,however, inthe latter 1have tried to cover as topics aspossible.IfI was asked as to the reason why Hadhrat chose the Tafseer ofSurahYusufin particular,1would not knowthe answer.     BriefAccount ofthe Siirah

    Surah Yusufis Makkan Surah i.e. Surah that was revealed in Makkahbefore Hijrah. It consists of111 verses and 12 ruku'.s. It is a e d Surah lisl1fbecause the story f Y u s u f ~ \ is mentioned therein. In the previous SUra.h(Surah Hood), the stories of ofProphets have related, h e r e ~ in Surah Yusufonly Prophet 's story is . Stories ofthe Prophetsare related in different chapters different reasons, but mainly they serve toconsole the Holy Prophet d u r i n g the hardships he was enduring. The story of

    Y u s u f ~ ' , is mentioned in chapterbecause it was revealed the requestofpeople. Likewise the story ofAshaabe-Kahfand Zul-Qarnain ismentioned

    only chapter as it was revealed request.'
