One of the biggest causes of stress is the wedding budget, did you know that the average UK

wedding costs 21,000 thats an absurd amount of money to spend on one day! When

couples begin to discuss their wedding budget they usually start by talking and end by

shouting and screaming at on another Not very romantic is it? Well, it doesnt have to bethis way Discussing a wedding budget can actually be fun and romantic if you are open to

ideas. Wedding suppliers and vendors are counting on your budget being incomplete or

unrealistic to gain your business; they may offer special discounts or promise more than

they can deliver. There are thousands of suppliers, websites, magazines, DVDs and books

available that will happily tell you what you need for your big day most at horrendous costs.

I will explain in this blog how to create a detailed and realistic budget, so that you dont get

taken in by people that are really only after your money.

Planning your wedding on a budget does not mean going without it simply means that you

In truth, most people would be delighted to help make your day amazing and creative

weddings dont have to be tacky, In fact some of the best and most memorable wedding

that I have coordinated have been DIY weddings! I will explain more about using your

Internet Savings

I love the Internet! You can save so much money by requesting online or emailedquotations, then you can compare them at your leisure to make sure that you get the best

value for money. I bought my own wedding dress Brand new. Made to measure.. From

EBay! There are so many online shops that offer everything from wedding dresses to

invitations. You can haggle when an email comes through with a quotation to get the price

to a reasonable amount.

Wedding Fairs/Shows

Attending wedding fairs and shows can be fantastic for planning your wedding I advertise

at wedding fairs nearly every week! However, you should be very cautious They can be a

little overwhelming and some suppliers can have very strong sales techniques. They often

want you to book on the day for discounts, this is fine except you havent really had a

chance to check their work, testimonials or discuss price with other vendors. It is far better

to take a business card and when you are sure that you want to hire them you can barter

with the cost. Often by doing it this way you will get the price even lower.

Not all, but some suppliers will offer you 10% at the fair. However, when you get home you

discover that the price you paid is actually their real price and as the contract has

been signed there is nothing you can do about it, by doing it the professional way the

discount you receive will be a true discount!
