About Vadnagar

Vadnagar is an ancient town located in Mehsana district with history of

continuous human settlement starting from 4th – 3rd Century BCE.

Vadnagar was a major trade point, land port of Gujarat and an important

Buddhist learning centre in western India, was visited by Xuanzang in 641 CE.

The town is known for it pluralistic culture and heritage along with significant
