PIANO
Studying piano is very rewarding and provides a visual and kinesthetic connection to the study of scales and melodic patterns. Working together as an ensemble can enhance the learning and the experience of making music at the keyboard!
Piano for beginners, grades 1-4: Piano study offers young students an exciting introduction into the world of instrumental music! In this fun and fast moving class, students will learn basic piano skills, ear training, rhythm and note reading, through the use of group instruction, exercises and games. Students will benefi t from the opportunity to play for and with each other.
Piano for beginners, grades 5-8: This group class offers an opportunity for the older beginner (whether fi rst timer or returning student) to lay a foundation for piano study. Topics include: posture and technique, rhythm, melody and harmony, sight-reading, ear-training and improvisation.
Piano for intermediate players, grades 1-4 & grades 5-8: Intermediate piano class is recommended for students with prior piano experience, or for students who have successfully completed our beginning piano class. Intermediate classes offer a more in-depth study of note and rhythm reading, ear training, technique and improvisation. We recommend group lessons for beginning and intermediate students. After completion of the intermediate class, students are encouraged to move to private lessons.
DRUM SET LEVELS I & II
Drum Set I 12:00 PmHave you always dreamed of playing the drums in a rock band? If so, your day has arrived! Beginners can enroll in Drum Set I. Students will need to have access to a drum set and sticks to participate in this online class.
