With the current season in limbo at the moment as a result of COVID -19, as a club we still have to continue fundraising as we have fixed costs regardless of how long our season may be.

We have entered into the Toyota Good For Footy Raffle as a way to assist in covering some of our costs for the season.

The raffle is a simple way of raising funds without a lot of work for our members and if you are able to participate in purchasing some tickets, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hopefully one of us will drive away with a new car. We hope you are all staying safe and we look forward to all being back together in the future.

Club History 30 years ago - 1990.

1990 was a great season for our Netballers with all

four teams playing in the Grand Final

Our Senior Grade girls won their fifth Premiership in

succession when they defeated Landsborough in the

Grand Final by 7 goals. 43 to 36

The Reserves girls lost to Navarre in the Grand Final

by 4 goals. 19 to 23

The Under 17 girls lost to Navarre in the Grand Final

by 1 goal. 16 to 17.

The Under 14 girls also won there fifth premiership

in succession when they defeated Marnoo by 10

goals in the Grand Final. 22 to 12. And made it 6 in a row when they won again in 1991.

The Best & Fairest Players in the photo at right are:

Belinda Field (Under 17), Dianne Meade (Reserves)

Leah Harris ( Seniors), Kimm Latch (Under 14)

Dianne Meade was also Runner Up in the Lexton

League Best & Fairest by 1 vote.

Our Senior and Reserves Football teams also had a successful season in 1990, but unfortunately both teams ran into a couple of very strong Navarre teams

who defeated us in the Senior and Reserves Grand Final.

The Senior Grand Final score-line was Navarre 24.21.165 to 9.12.66

Avoca led at half time, but Navarre were very dominant in the second half to win very comfortably.

The Reserves Grand Final score saw Navarre win

comfortably by 73 points. Avoca 6.1.37 to Navarre 15.20.110.
