About Yeshwant Science Forum: In tune with goals and objectives of the college to spread science

education, this Yeshwant Science Forum plan, execute and perform

activities.

In order to acquaint the students about science and inculcate scientific

temper among the students lectures exhibitions are organized.

In order to reveal the scientific principles through hands on

experiments, various activities are organized every year.

Workshop on Akash Darshan

Yeshwant Science Forum organized four day workshop on Akash

Darshan in collaboration with Akashmitra Mandal, Kalyan, Mumbai

(Amateur Astronomers Organization) from 10-01-2014 to 13-01-2014.

Dr. A. T. Kadam was worked as Co-ordinator for this workshop.

Shri. Hemant V. Mone was lead lecturer for this Akash Darshan

workshop. He is honorary lecturer for Extra Mural Studies, University of

Mumbai. He regularly writing column on Astronomy in newspapers and

periodicals. More than 700 articles have been published. He published

three books on astronomy named as Naked Eye Astronomy, Eclipses of

Sun & the Moon and Astronomy of Eclipses. He has presented many

programmes on Akashwani and Doordarshan. He has delivered more

than 100 lectures on Total Solar Eclipse and Holley`s Comet. He is

President of Akashmitra Mandal, Kalyan, Mumbai (Amateur

Astronomers Organization)

62 students and teachers were present for this workshop.

This workshop was open to all.

After completion of workshop, Feedback were collected from students

and teachers who were participated in workshop.

Organized tour to the Solapur Science Centre

Yeshwant Science Forum organized tour of our college students to

Solapur Science Centre.

Solapur Science Centre is a unique tourist attraction in the city of

Solapur. Particularly interesting for the science buffs, the museum is the

third largest science centre in the state of Maharashtra. The Centre’s

motto is propagating science to the masses. It makes understanding

science easier and interesting even for laymen through its various

exhibits. One of the main attractions of the museum is night sky

observation through telescopes.

Tribute to Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam

Yeshwant Science Forum prayed tribute to Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam in Y. C.

Mahavidyalaya Campus on 12 August 2015.

On that day, “Dr. Kalam, Aap ko Salam” these slogan were given by

students and teacher.

Students presented his/her tribute to Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam by

presenting posters on Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam`s lifestyle.

Program on checking the suitability of Potable Water w.r.t. its pH value

Yeshwant Science Forum has arranged the program titles as “Checking

the suitability of Potable Water w.r.t. its pH value” on 25 Jan.2018

The students of science have carried the samples of potable water from

their home. The determination of pH of liquid is part of their experiment

learning. So they applied this knowledge for this experiment.

By knowing the ideal value of pH of potable water and determining the

pH value of samples collected, they confirmed the suitability of potable

water.
