This was my first published paper. It was the first published description of my ATRAD atmospheric radiation model, developed for the ARPA Climate Dynamics Program expressly for cloudy problems. This book dates from the days when conference proceedings were not, like today, unrefereed contributions to the vanity press. Every paper in this book was not only refereed but technically edited by the Editors.
