7-17.5 Granite pegmatite; very coarse-grained white feldspar, quartz, phlogopite, muscovite, hornblende

17.5-219.5 Metasediments: f/m.-grained quartz-biotite-garnet-muscovite metasediments rarely c -grained, usually schistose, rarely gneissic, banding due to varying proportions of garnet, biotite and quartz, in places consists mostly of quartz, thereby approaching a quartzite, chloritic throughout most of section, where magnetite occurs it is f.-grained and consists of fine lamellae in the metasediments, section 130'-150' approaches I.F. in appearance as banding becomes more distinct here, there are several small bands of iron formation.

Granite Pegmatite(possibly granite) coarse-grained, sheared, at top of section shearing is almost parallel to core axis, near end of this section, shearing makes an angle of 40 degrees to core axis, large sections of non-sheared pegmatite, metasediments, which are probably inclusions, occur at 11-12.5, 18-19.5 and 25.3 - 27.0

48-74.5 Coarse-grained biotite-quartz schist banding poorly defined

74.5-84 Metasediments and bands of very coarse-grained pegmatite, metasediments, which are mostly biotite-quartz schist, approach a quartzite in places.

84-91.5 Granite pegmatite, chlorite lamellae occur at intervals along the section

91.5-110 Metasediments;bunds of c-grained biotite-quartz schist alternate with bands of quartz-biotite-garnet-chlorite schist, the former may be a pegmatite, section contains considerable granite pegmatite

110-117.5 Diabase, dark green, massive, with fine-grained centre portion and aphanitic grain size toward contacts, pegmatite appears to contain an inclusion of the diabase, but thi.s is not certain.
