8 Please consider possible noise impacts on neighbours and any safety concerns such aspossible drug use at the location. It would be GREAT to have a park for youth in this area, aslong as it is properly cared for, accessible for police monitoring, and does not become anuisance to the neighbours. 20 Lochside drive is a very busy road with very large trucks coming in and out from Don Mann'sconstruction. It is also the route which all driving schools use to teach their novice drivers. There is not a lot of parking available on Lochside drive because employees from Drive BC,ICBC testing, Don Manns and the Monkey Tree pub park on this road when they go to work.Consequently overflow parking inevitably ends up n Elise place which is a very small cul-de-sacand also on the driving school route. Obviously my main concern for this youth park is parking. To the point, there is no parking available during the day. Thank you for your time.

To be honest, there are lotsof spots to bike already and zip lines are for kids parks. Would be great to see a space foryouth and young adults.

25 I commute on Borden St every work day and often walk that route on weekends (no sidewalk orbike path on either side of the currently quiet road). That stretch of Borden has poor access andexit for vehicles and the walking path onto Borden from Cedar Hill X Rd is narrow for

11/21/2019 10:31 PM

Building a Youth Park in Saanich SurveyMonkey

pedestrians and bikes. How will parking issues on that road be avoided? How will bike accessfrom Cedar Hill X Brick development crosswalk be improved? More traffic (car, bike, pedestrian)on Borden is very likely once this park is operational and these places are likely trouble spots.

26 Have really good sight lines for parents that come with multi-age tots. Consider reaching out tothe local schools to see what elements they would utilize as part of school activities.

11/20/2019 6:45 PM

27 It would be nice to see some feature a younger audience could enjoy as well, youth andchildren should be able to enjoy it.

11/20/2019 12:40 PM

29 picnic tables, bike racks, toddler play area, and consession or spot for food truck 11/20/2019 8:56 AM

30 A skate park seems to be the most versatile for the biggest group of users with the least ongoing maintenance costs.

11/19/2019 10:17 PM

31 As a resident living close to the proposed site, my first concern is safety and security. What (ifany) is the plan to ensure that groups don’t gather there at all hours of the night? While I seethis as a great opportunity for the community, I’d hate to see it turn into a hang-out space forgroups to drink and get high with their friends.
