HistoryDec 17, 1903 – Orville Wright flew the first heavier-than-air aircraft he built with brother Wilbur in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, USA. The first flight covered only 120 feet and lasted only 12 seconds, but it changed history!

IATA’s missionIATA's stated mission is to represent, lead and serve the airline industry. All the Airline rules and regulations are defined by IATA. The main aim of IATA is to provide safe and secure transportation to its passengers.
IATA taxes and calculates fare by…AREA 1 = South, Central, and North America.
AREA 2 = Europe, Middle East, and Africa. IATA Europe includes geographical Turkey, Israel, Morroco, Algeria and Tunisia.
AREA 3 = Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and the islands of the Pacific Ocean.
The Philippines' Civil Aviation Authority is an agency of the Phil. Gov’t under the DOTC. It is the national aviation authority of the Philippines, responsible for implementing policies on civil aviation to assure safe, economic and efficient air travel. The agency also investigates aviation accidents via its Aircraft Accident Investigation and Inquiry Board. The agency's main office is in Pasay.
The Paris Air Show
The Paris Air Show (Salon international de l'aéronautique et de l'espace, Paris-Le Bourget) claims to be the world's oldest and largest air show. Established in 1909, it is currently held every odd year at Le Bourget Airport which is north of Paris. The 2013 Paris Air Show from the 17th to the 23rd of June 2013, became the 50th.

Current Domestic StatisticsThe Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB) on Feb 2013 reported that the number of passengers carried by domestic airlines rose by 9.6 percent to 20.57 million people for the whole of 2012—breaching the 20-million mark for the first time in the country’s history.
The expansion in passenger volume came as the number of available seats on flights rose by 16 percent to 28.26 million (from 24.34 million in 2011). This translated to an average load factor for local airlines of 72 percent, (lower than 2011’s 77 percent).
