There would be hardly a fraction of a percent who will seek unhappiness. Without undergoing pain or difficulties, one would not be able to enjoy its happiness. One would not know what pain is, unless he understands what hap- piness is. Happiness and sad- ness are two sides of a coin. Though they are different, it is just the two sides of one coin. Only when we are standing in sun, we understand the value of the shadow. Only when we have hunger, we relish the food that we eat. As the tears gives un- happiness to us, the smile gives happiness to our minds. The happiness is hidden form of sadness. The same happiness and sadness vary from person to person. A matter which gives happiness to one may give un- pleasantness to the other person. When the difficulties that a la- borer undergoes while working, gives profit to the owner of the business and makes him happy. A person who gets happiness by torturing the other person either by words or deeds, gets it at the expense of inflicting pain on the other party. In this dynamic world, one would not be able to lead a hap- py life forever. No one can live without facing any difficulty in life. The pain or the difficulty is the foundation in our lives. When one does not experience difficulties, it would affect the progress of the world. In fact, we can say that there would not be any progress without any hardship. For example, if one does not face the difficulty of hunger, he would not go after food. If one does not go after food, he would not have any inclination to do any other thing. It is because of the need for food, all industries started. Food has been the fundamental driver of development. The de- sire for earning something arose because of the hunger and the need for food. We can see that the difficulty of hunger has been the root cause for economic growth, which is supposed to give happiness to all. The pain or the difficulty is the root cause for happiness. If there is no difficulty or pain, there is no chance of happiness. The happiness is the cause for difficulties. This is what the learned scholars and Saint Bud- dha say. You may ask me why I am saying the same differently. They have said this based on their realization. The reason why they say is different. They made the statement based on the fact that when a person chases happiness, he encounters pain when such happiness does not materialize. When a person gets married to get happiness, it comes with pains also. When some works hard to acquire a luxurious apartment or a car and if he fails to accomplish it or if he gets it and then the same gets destroyed in an accident or so, it finally gives pain only. This is what they said that that desire for happiness is the cause for pain. The yearning for happi- ness kindles desires which cause difficulties. I say that the pain or difficulty is the cause for happiness. When we are in difficulties, we work hard to come out of diffi- culties and work towards happi- ness. The reason is that happi- ness would give comfort and pleasure. In reality, whether happiness would give pain or not or whether the pain would give happiness or not, it really depends on the individual’s mind-set. If a person is hungry, he must eat what he gets to eat. But the mind wants a particular food to be happy. When a per- son works hard and gets a house, he needs to be happy. But once he gets the house, he wishes for a bungalow and re- mains unhappy. Though the illusory world looks like a happy place, the happi- ness is temporary. As it is a temporary happiness, it gives pains only. To get relief from such pain only, people resort to spiritual path to get the real and permanent happiness. He seeks the ultimate reality. The eternal bliss provides the happy state or a state of freedom from pain. As a person is affected by illu- sion(maya) and the pain given by the materialistic world, we are proceeding towards spiritual path to have eternal happiness. If we accept the fact that we face trouble or pain in our lives due to Karma, then difficulties would not affect us. Our mind will get matured and will be in a state of eternal happiness. At the same times, the difficulty in life reduces our karmas (provided we do not do any more bad deeds). Good deeds accumulate good karmas. As we get more matured, we are able to face pain or unhappiness with more ease. So, indirectly, we will be happier or even tempered. Let us not be scared of facing diffi- culties and work towards getting eternal bliss. This is the reason we face difficulties. Hence, I say difficulties or pains will certainly take us towards eternal bliss. Sriom No Happiness Without Pain

If we look at the percentage of people wanting happiness and people seeking sadness or diffi-culties, the percentage of people seeking happiness will be al-most 99.9%. There would be hardly a fraction of a percent who will seek unhappiness. Without undergoing pain or difficulties, one would not be able to enjoy its happiness. One would not know what pain is, unless he understands what hap-piness is. Happiness and sad-ness are two sides of a coin. Though they are different, it is just the two sides of one coin.

Only when we are standing in sun, we understand the value of the shadow. Only when we have hunger, we relish the food that we eat. As the tears gives un-happiness to us, the smile gives happiness to our minds. The happiness is hidden form of sadness. The same happiness and sadness vary from person to person. When the difficulties that a la-borer undergoes while working, gives profit to the owner of the business and makes him happy. A person who gets happiness by torturing the other person either by words or deeds, gets it at the expense of inflicting pain on the other party.

In this dynamic world, one would not be able to lead a hap-py life forever. No one can live without facing any difficulty in life. The pain or the difficulty is the foundation in our lives. When one does not experience difficulties, it would affect the progress of the world. In fact, we can say that there would not be any progress without any

We can see that the difficulty of hunger has been the root cause for economic growth, which is supposed to give happiness to all.

The pain or the difficulty is the root cause for happiness. If there is no difficulty or pain, there is no chance of happiness. The happiness is the cause for difficulties. This is what the learned scholars and Saint Bud-dha say. You may ask me why I am saying the same differently. They have said this based on their realization. The reason why they say is different. I say that the pain or difficulty is the cause for happiness. When we are in difficulties, we work hard to come out of diffi-culties and work towards happi-ness. The reason is that happi-

ness would give comfort and pleasure. In reality, whether happiness would give pain or not or whether the pain would give happiness or not, it really depends on the individual’s mind-set. Wish to become a baby again!

As soon as I say that I would like to be-

come a baby again, please do not think

that I am scared of death, or I would like

to live longer. I would ask all of you to

think back of your days as a child. How

beautiful those days were? I am saying

that I would like to become a baby to

attain Moksha. Are you clear? People ask

me what one has to do to attain Moksha.

One has to surrender oneself to God. One

must remain neutral to desires. One must

love all living beings. One’s mind must

remain pure at all times. One must not

have jealousy, cunningness or treacher-

ous thoughts. One must show love to

even those who did something bad to us.

One must remain unperturbed by any-

thing or his mind must remain stable and

be devoid of eagerness to know or read (a

state of completeness). We will not have

all these qualities. But a baby has all

these qualities. A baby remains surren-

dered to the mother; smiles at everyone;

goes to someone who would have beaten

or scolded the baby for crying; does not

have any desires nor hatred. The baby

does not remember anyone except the

mother. The baby’s mind remains pure.

The baby has no education of the world

and so does not have a feeling of know-

ing everything. It remains unpolluted or

in a state of no knowledge of worldly

things.

As the child starts growing, it forgets its

basic good qualities and adopts to quali-

ties required to live in this world. The

reason for this change is us. We advise

the child- you only eat; you don’t go with

such persons; you don’t talk to someone

etc. We inject these thoughts in their

minds and the children start to forget its

‘love-all’ qualities. When a child falls

down, we tell the baby not to cry and tell

them let us beat the floor where it fell

down. We start feeding ill-will in the

minds of the baby. The baby starts forget-

ting the art of forgiving. As the child

grows, it starts forgetting the God or the

nature given good qualities and adopting

to new way of life which is full of world-

ly things. We can say that we are paying

a price for buying grief.

The real qualities of the baby are the ones

that was given by God. Only when we

have such qualities in us, we can realize

ourselves or achieve moksha or Mukthi.

Hence, I said I want to become a baby to

get those good qualities given by God

originally. I suggest you also try to get

those qualities again by travelling back-

wards.

Words Of Wisdom by Devima

We pray Sriom Adisakthi Devi, Sriom

Jagadhadri Devi, Sriom Devi and our

Guru Sri Om Adisakthiyendra Swamiji,

to bless all our readers.

Devima in her “Words of Wisdom” has

conveyed in her own style how one can

get moksha.

Sriom Gnanasakthiyendra Swamiji has

written that one cannot get happiness

without undergoing pains or difficulties.’.

In the epic, ‘Absolute Determination Tri-

umphs,’ we see Krishna giving darshan in

Mathsya Avtar, testing Madhavan by

appearing as a beggar and taking food

from Govindan, the sishya who was serv-

ing Madhavan. We have many dialogues

of wisdom for us to understand and fol-

low.

We also have our other usual columns,

“Pearls of Wisdom,” “Contemplations,”

and “Prathama Tips.”

We could not accommodate

“Gyanaamrith from Sriom Devi Puran” in

this issue due to the space constraints.

Smt S Narayanan has sent an article

which is a story which shows how God’s

view differs from common man’s view.

In this issue, we have published answer

from Devima for the last Satsangh ques-

tion and have given the next Satsangh

question for the readers to answer.

We also invite readers to send their feed-

backs.

Dharma-our view vs God’s view by Smt S Narayanan In a village, there was a very rich man,

who was well known for his charitable

work. He used to donate whenever there

was a need in the village say for any tem-

ple or community activities. People in the

village respected him.

On the other hand, there lived a poor lady

in the same village who had hardly any

income and survived with whatever she

got during the day. When any other per-

son went and asked for any help, she

would give whatever little she had. Some-

days, she would say that she could give

only water, in a frustrating tone.

It so happened, both died on the same

day.

They were taken by Yama’s representa-

tives. Once they reached their kingdom,

Yama ordered the poor lady to go to the

heaven immediately. He ordered the rich

man to stay in the hell for some time,

before going to the heaven.

The rich man was surprised with the or-

der as he was asked to spend time in hell

before going to the heaven whereas the

poor lady would be going to the heaven

immediately. He felt that he had done a

lot of charity, helped the temple, commu-

nity etc., whereas the poor lady who had

no income and had done less charity had

been asked to go the hell.

Lord Yama sensed what the rich man was

thinking and thought of explaining the

reason for the judgement.

He said, “Oh soul, I understand what you

are thinking in your mind. Let me recall

you an incident which happened in both

of your lives. Once there was an annual

festival in the temple and the temple au-

thorities were looking for a particular

type of wood which need to be cylindrical

shape and of a particular length. They

approached you. You sent people in the

market and also to known merchants

looking for a particular type of wood. But

it was not available in spite of your best

efforts.

“The poor lady came to know about the

need for the particular type of wood. She

lied down and looked at her dilapidated

thatched roof. As she was gazing over the

ceiling, she found the type of wood they

were looking for. She got up immediately

and called a couple of young boys to re-

move the wood from the ceiling and

asked them to give it to the temple. The

young boy saw the wood and told her that

if the timber was removed, the roof might

collapse. She said it did not matter if the

roof collapsed. She told them that she

would manage somehow and asked them

to handover the wood to the temple so

that the festival could proceed without

any problem.

“Accordingly, the wood was given, and

the function went on well. You were sur-

prised how this wood arrived there in the

temple because you had tried a lot for a

similar wood. When you learnt that the

poor lady had given the wood not caring

for her house, you acknowledged it but

did not offer any help in spite of knowing

the condition of the poor lady.(The rich

man also had a similar wood in some of

his roofs but he did not remove it either

because he thought his roof would col-

lapse if it was removed or the idea did not

occur to him.) On the other hand, the

poor lady gave the wood without any

expectation. She did not even think that

she was doing this for God and God

would take care of her. She just wished

that God’s function must not be ham-

pered anyway. Now, you would under-

stand the reason for my judgement.”

We can understand how our judgement

varies from that of God. We see and re-

member whatever positives that we had

done but tend not to remember the

wrongs or errors that we have committed

or the circumstances under which we

have committed. God sees the whole of

our life and comes to a judgement.

(As narrated by Sriom Jagadhadri

Devi through Sriom Adisakthiyendra Swamiji to Sriom Adisakthi Ashram disciples)

Volume 3 Chapter 4

(Continued from the last issue...)

Govindan asked Madhavan with some hesitation.

“Swamiji, I have a small doubt. I would have done some good deeds, wouldn’t I?”

Madhavan laughed.

“What an ignorance? Govinda, how does it matter if you have done good deeds or sins? Why do you think about it now?”

“This question came up without my knowledge. Please just keep it in your mind.”

Madhavan thought, ‘Did this question come up in ignorance? There may be some reason for it to arise.’ A sudden flash thought came to him.

If he said that Govindan had done good deeds and that was why he had come to Madhavan, it would attribute to Madhavan’s ego and superiority com-plex. He realized that this might be a test by Kanna to see if Madhavan’s ego showed up.

‘I see what you are aiming at this point, Kanna,’ Madhavan thought within him-self and then said to Govindan.

“Govinda, we all have done good deeds by the grace of Kanna. How can we sing His name or glory, otherwise? As long as that Kanna is there and we think of Him, we are all noble souls (Punyavaan).”

Upon hearing this, Govindan felt satis-fied. He was very happy that Madhavan responded to the question that arose in his mind without his knowledge, saying that Kanna is supreme.

“Swamiji, please be my guru and guide me to reach the supreme being”, he prostrated to Madhavan.

“No, Govinda, Kanna is everything. He is the Guide. We both follow His guid-ance and reach the supreme being, that is Kanna Himself. That is the proper way. Let us spend tonight in peace and relaxed. You go to sleep, Govinda.”

It was 3 A.M.

“The saint sits and does meditation in odd times. He asks me to sleep at 3 a.m. He may ask me to get up at 4 a.m. to do Pooja”, Govindhan did not have any ill feeling of this nature towards his guru. He said, “Sir, you go to sleep. I will

make arrangements for the pooja for Kanna.” He then went to take bath.

Madhavan, thinking about Kanna, closed his eyes with a smile. It was not evident as to who was sleeping there. (Kanna or Madhavan)

After some time, Madhavan woke up. Govindan was standing beside him.

“Swamiji, you can go to take bath.”

Other disciples of Madhavan envied Govindan upon seeing how he looked after Madhavan.

“River is running close by. You can go there and have bath.” Govindan told.

Madhavan went alone and took bath. Beautiful fish went around him. He im-mediately began his conversation with Kanna.

“Kanna, see your play (leela). Is this how You took Your incarnation as fish (mathsya avatar) and produced water? Will I not get the darshan of that avatar? I want to see that.”

“You had seen me as you wished. Now, why do you want to see the darshan of my incarnation?”

“I did want to see You as per my wish. Now when I see these fish, I am think-ing whether You also swam and jumped like this. If I say Your name, will I also swim like this? If that was possible, I could have been born as a fish and swim along, without getting into worldly illu-sion (maya). Kanna, You have taken the form of fish and preached us. Can I not have that darshan? Are You not willing to give that?”

“Not that Madhava. You are a great soul (mahaan). If you close your eyes and meditate, you can see. Then why do you ask Me?”

“Kanna, please give that darshan for my sake.”

“You want Me to disguise for your sake.”

“You are the reason for everything. Please give the darshan of that avatar.”

Kanna immediately showed the mathsya avatar form with conch(shankh) and disc (chakra).

“Oh Lord, You give darshan immediate-ly upon asking. You are the Greatest,” Madhavan was emotional with his eyes filled with tears.

“I gave darshan as you wished. You have that boon.” He changed himself to Kanna.

Upon seeing Madhavan, Govindhan thought as to why his eyes were with tears. He then realised that Madhavan

was seeing ‘mathsya avatar’ as soon as he saw the fish.

After Madhavan took his bath, Go-vindan gave him the clothes. He then asked, “Swamiji, I want to ask a ques-tion.”

“Ok, ask.”

“Sir, I believe that you were emotional since you saw the mathsya avatar.”

“How come Govindan know about this? Is he also Kanna and playing dual role?”, Madhavan thought.

Kanna came there. “Madhava, why did you call me? There is no connection between Me and Govindan. It is be-tween you and Me only.”

“Since Govindan said about the darshan without seeing it, I got the doubt.”

All the three went to have food. Go-vindan served food to Madhavan. Madhavan called the disciples and asked if they had eaten. They said that they had all eaten except Govindan, with a tinge of complaint against Govindan. Madhavan understood the jealousy. He asked Govindan why he had not eaten.

“Sir, from my young age, I used to eat only after you have eaten. That’s what I am doing now also.”

Kanna came there disguised as a beggar. He looked at Madhavan and said that He was hungry. Madhavan asked Govindan to give some food. Govindan gave his share of the meal and Kanna (in the form of beggar) ate it.

‘See how he is giving his meal and feel-ing happy to see the beggar eating it. He is really a great person (mahaan),’ Madhavan thought about Govindan.

Kanna (the beggar) asked Govindan, “Are you hungry?”

“No. I am satisfied that you have eaten.”

“Why? If I don’t eat and others eat, will you feel the hunger?”

“It’s not like that. If my guru eats, it amounts to my eating and I feel happy. He asked me to eat. I thought that it will be good if someone, who is hungri-er than me, eats. You came in at that time and so I gave the food to you.”

Madhavan’s eyes were filled with tears due to happiness. He thought that on one side it was Kanna and the other side Govindan, who understood everything.

Kanna (beggar) asked Madhavan, “You give food to the youngsters after you eat. Is it proper?”

Madhavan realized that though the ques-

tion was from a beggar, it was a very apt one.

“Hereafter, I will give food to others and then eat,” he prostrated to the beggar.

Kanna (beggar) went away.

Kanna looked at Madhavan and asked, “Do you have any sense? You bowed down to the beggar.”

“He is not a beggar. He is the one, who gave a preaching (upadesh) to me. What is wrong in bowing down to him?”

“What good preaching did he do? You give me food and eat the food offered to Me. I give darshan to you and come whenever you call Me. Who is this per-son to give you preaching? If you want, I will do it.”

“Kanna, don’t play. You did not teach me this. Whoever it is and whatever he is, if I do mistake, there is nothing wrong in seeking apology. That is why I asked for excuse.”

“Why did you ask for excuse? I am with you. Who is he to excuse you?”

“Kanna, You are always with me. You might have also come as that beggar. Is it proper for You to ask me so many questions?”

Kanna smiled.

“Why should I disguise like a beggar? You have given Me food.”

“Then why do you bother? I fall at someone’s feet. You need not bother.”

“Not that. When Lord Himself is with you, you are apologizing to someone else.”

“God is with me. He did not directly

show me this path. He has conveyed through someone else. He is afraid of coming in person and so sent the mes-sage through someone. I apologized to that person.”

Kanna smiled again. “You have under-stood clearly. It was Me, who came to test you and if not check on Govindan.”

Madhavan also smiled. “You came with the intention of hitting one mango using 2 stones or 2 mangoes with one stone. Your tactics has not succeeded and so You are quietly slipping.”

“I took the form of a fish, right? That’s why slipping nature comes every now and then.”

There is an important moral in this. At times, God may not show where he is. This is the inner meaning. The essence of mathsya avatar is that God may hide inside us and we can’t understand Him. The beggar who came, was Kanna him-self. But at that time Madhavan could not identify Him. Kanna was with him all the time, even then he could not find out. Illusion (maya) is such a powerful one. Since Madhavan’s desire is always Kanna, he did not bother in whatever form Kanna came, he was ready to apol-ogize to anyone who pointed out his mis-take.

Coming to think of this play (leela), it can be understood that God is within us and at the same time He is not with us. If we go near the water, we can see the fish inside, but from a distance the fish cannot be seen. Similarly, it is God’s play that He is with us, yet He deceives us in not realising that. The cheating or deceiving is to bring the devotee towards the right path. He is with us and corrects us with an intention that we should not

make mistakes for somebody to point out. If a devotee does wrong things and continues to do so, it will not be true that God is with him. If his mistakes are told and he realizes the wrong doing and cor-rects himself, it will be evident that God is with him.

Kanna gives this explanation for his mathsya avatar.

Madhavan laughed.

“Kanna, why do You play like this?”

“Alright, let us leave this place and go to our place.” Kanna ordered.

Madhavan conveyed that to Govindan

and he packed up everything getting ready to leave. His other disciples also did the same. But their mental state was

different. “What is this man doing? He is giving respect to the person who was

with him before his sainthood and treats him with much importance. He is also

giving all prime tasks to him.” They got that ill feeling and with that mental ago-

ny they also got ready to leave. Go-vindan also got ready and all of them along with Kanna, left the place.

“Do not cheat those who trust you.”

“Cheating is an undesirable quality for anyone. Cheating exists between man and woman, husband and wife, father and child, own-er and worker and even between a Guru and Sishyas. Cheating the one who trusts us is the worst thing to do. This should never be done. It will come along with us as Karma even after death.”

Where do I see God ? - 3 By N Sankar, Auckland, New Zealand

When we look at the life history of our Guru, Sriom Adisakthiyendra Swamiji, he had the darshan of a fireball or a powerful Jothi after his first penance. When he could not bear the power of the Jothi, he called “Amma” and then got the darshan in the form of Mother. So, the first dar-shan is Jothi with no form.

The first pooja which was taught to our Swamiji by Devi in his meditation was Lamp pooja. Here again Devi sits in the lamp as a Jothi and the lamp is decorated. The first pooja he performed was for Jothi with some form.

The second pooja which was taught to him was worshipping Trisul (Trident). The Trisul represents the three gunas in our body namely Satva, Rajas, and Ta-mas. Here a lesson is taught that one has to keep these gunas in equilibrium to have the darshan of Jothi. This lesson is for the devotees as he had the darshan of Jothi and was coming down to teach his path to his devotees. Here again the pooja is done to Trisul with some form.

When the temple was established in Ava-lur, he installed Panchasakthi, represent-ing, Earth, water, fire, air and space. He installed them as Chakras only but later added five powers namely, Mahalakshmi, Mahakali, Maha Durga, Gayathri and Lalitha to each of the five powers. Here also, we must note that five idols are there in the sanctum sanctorum. Abhishek and Poojas are performed to them, but they are not installed. The reason why

they were added was for us to know that a devotee needs to keep these five elements in balance to have the darshan of Jothi.

So, the sanctorum sanctum of the temple has no fixed form installed over there. What was he trying to tell us? He is try-ing to tell us that the ultimate form of all forms of worship is Jothi only. But he has given the option of worshipping all forms to us by worshipping Lord Siva on Mondays, Lord Muruga or Mariamman on Tuesdays and so on. But Swamiji is telling us that these forms of worship are in early stages of worshipping or spiritual path and the ultimate worship is the Jothi worship.

Let us also see how our ancestors have shown us the importance of worshipping Jothi without telling us directly.

In our houses, we light lamps daily or regularly. It is a must in most of our hous-es.

When any havan is performed, we do pray to Agni while doing havan but still a lamp is lit where havan is performed.

When a girl gets married and goes to her husband’s house, she is asked to light a lamp in her husband house.

When there is a wedding, the important promises are made before Agni or Jothi.

For any important function, Havans are performed.

Every temple has so many lamps and there is always a lamp lit inside the sanc-

tum sanctorum.

When we do arathi, it is done with Jothi only. We start arathi with one wick, in-creases to many wicks and finally ends up with single arathi again. It is trying to teach us that one Jothi splits into many and finally merge into one.

Even when a person dies, they ask to us to light the lamp in the house so that the soul of the departed person can stay in the Jothi.

Most of the times, we do, participate or witness lighting of lamp, performing a havan, an arathi being performed which time and again shows that the ultimate form to worship is Jothi. But the ances-tors have left it for individuals to realize it.

Our Swamiji has shown directly that the ultimate form of God is Jothi only but has given the option of all other forms Gods and Goddesses for us to worship and steps for us to realize.

The conclusion is that all of us must think

and realize why lamps are lit in any form

of our worship and what is our connec-

tion to the Jothi. I feel that the ultimate

form is Jothi only and the Jothi is in me in

the form of a soul. I believe I need to con-

nect with Jothi and see or realize God

there.

Contemplation– 21

Life is not for enjoyment only. Life is meant for realization.

.....Devima

In the last issue, we published the answers to the

Satsangh question SS31 sent by a few readers.

We thank the readers for their participation. Now

we publish Devima’s answer:

SS31: What is the distance between God and a devotee, a disciple or anyone?

When we are growing up, we hear parents telling us

that if we do any mistake, God will punish us. This

stays in our mind. We start thinking that God is

somewhere. We grow with these thoughts. Then we

start going to temple and pray there. Now the belief

is that God is there in the temple. People advise to

pray this God or some other God when we face any

difficulty in life. We go to various temples and pray

to get rid of problem or to achieve something in life.

Our mind thinks that God is somewhere else. There

is distance at this stage from the devotees’ point of

view.

Now, let us take a devotee who with the help of

Manthra Deeskha from a Guru, chants Japa, attends

Guru’s classes and knows that there is a soul inside.

He, over a period of time, feels the presence of an

energy within him, which does most of the work

even without his knowledge. His understanding im-

proves. He understands that what he could control

are his own thoughts and actions. If he goes further

in his Dhyan, he realizes that whatever he sees out-

side are inside him also e.g., five elements in simple

terms. If he meditates further, he is able to connect

with God whom he worships. Then he feels that his

soul is part of the God he worships or the supreme

energy which is present everywhere. At this point of

realization, he feels that there is no distance between

him and God.

If a person in his pursuit of God, considers God as

one amongst his family and takes him as his father,

mother or any relative and treats Him in the same

way under all circumstances, then also the distance

vanishes.

After understanding where God is, if one gets a

doubt whether God knows whatever one does or

not, then there is distance between God and him.

From God’s point of view, there is no distance be-

tween him and any living being as every living be-

ing carries an iota of his energy in the form of a

soul. The distance, we perceive, is due to illusory

world that we live in or our lack of understanding/

realization or treating him as the one who lives in

some other world. Sriom

Now we publish our next Satsangh question giv-en by Devima:

Feedback Grateful and thanks for sending the latest issue of Devi's Voice. The Articles by Swamiji on Three Types of Me was quite educative and interesting to read. The Pearls of Wisdom, ‘Control or Realize Your-self’ by our Sat Guru was excellent advice on Spir-itual Path. Lastly, I must say that Readers should be encour-aged to pose their Queries if any so that the guid-ance of our Sat Guru is solicited through the chan-nel of Devi's Voice.

V K Bhasin, New Delhi, India

Thanks for your suggestion and we would look into it.

Ed.

" Words of Wisdom” by Devima emphasizes us

to understand ourselves rather than exercising re-

straint on us. By achieving this one may realize the

soul which is the ultimate truth. The three types of

" Me" is beautifully explained by

Sriom Gnanasakthiyendra Swamigal. "Where do I

see God -2" by Sankar is explained very well by

narrating his experience.
