Talking about mental health, it ishearting and inspiring to seethat Delhi-based organization,Badlo Re, has been providingrelentless mental health servicefor free of cost for the past 8years. Although it started in2009 as a small group ofindividuals to set up a suicideprevention center in Delhi, eventually they figured the needfor a holistic mental healthapproach. Badlo Re is fullyvolunteer run. It gives anopportunity to everyone abovethe age of 21 to help thoseundergoing stress, anxiety ormental trauma. We organised aprogramme to take involunteers through a strictscreening test and interviewbased method, as they arerequired to deal with delicateand significant issuesconcerning another person’s life. For the next four to five monthsthere is an initial level of arigorous training program totrain counselors for the crisisintervention unit.

MENTALLYRETARDED CENTRE

An old parent staying in an oldage home is a common enoughphenomenon. But is it desirable? Most elderly people cannotreconcile themselves to the ideaof living in old age homes. We,their children, want them to livehappily, in peace and preferablyin the one place where theyhave always lived – their ownhomes. But this is the digitalage. Aged parents are often leftalone while their children goabroad to live and work. So, thenext logical step is to put an oldfather or mother in an old agehome. While there is nothingfundamentally wrong withstaying in an old age home, itdoes offend sensibilities.

With advancing age, peopleoften lose motor functions.Performing day to day activitiesbecomes a daunting task. In anold age home, the associationhelps with daily activities. Analternative to this is having adedicated caregiver who canhelp with the everyday choresaround the house.

BONDED LABOURCAMPAIGNIn Bharat & other developing countries bonded labour isfound mostly among lowercastes, indigenous peoples, minorities and migrant workers– groups that also suffer fromdiscrimination and socialexclusion. Traditionally, bondedlabour was most prevalent inagricultural production systemsbased on sharecropping andcasual wage labour but it isincreasingly found in othereconomic activities such as:mining, brick making, stonecutting and carpet weaving; inrice mills, match factories andquarries: and in the commercialsexual exploitation of bothadults and children. People inbondage are usually highlyindebted to their employer. Thedebt results in pledging futurelabour for a few months, a yearor longer periods; or may passfrom one generation to the next.

Ayurveda and Naturopathy look similar by the way of their approach towardshealing. Both the sciences adopt natural remedies for the cure, focus ondetoxifying the body, encourage abstinence from unhealthy lifestyle andpromote using food as the medicine.

The main difference comes in the way foods are chosen.

Even though Ayurveda and Naturopathy are natural systems of medicine, theyare entirely different fields of practice. Naturopathy concentrates on the body’sability to heal itself.

Badlo Re practing to treat patient whosuffering with several disease by Ayurveda andNaturopathy, Also We report several cases of acoronavirus disease 19 (COVID-19)-positivepatient with comorbidities including diabetesmellitus (DM), hypertension (HTN),hypothyroidism and chronic kidney disease(CKD), treated successfully using anintegrative therapy plan based on Ayurvedaand Yoga.
