entertainment products from Asia. The website sells
import games, DVDs, CDs, gadgets, groceries, gaming
console accessories, watches, cables and toys. Impulse
mega store is based in Malaysia, and caters to the
Malaysia and Asia-Pacific region, but also offers most of
the products to local buyers.
Impulse mega store was established in 2009 in Johor
Bahru , selling games and accessories for all major
current game consoles and computer operating systems. In
addition to video games, the site also offers electronic
goods, entertainment product such as consoles from Psvita
to Nintendo 3DS, Playstation to Xbox, collectible toys
and cards, computer parts for high spec gaming
performance.

is not known much internationally, as they focus their

much opportunity to attain consumers.

thoroughly whether there’s any law or rules against
sending the product to the customer before sending it

purchase a product. As such, our company must ensure the
privacy of our customers securely without comprising any
of their information through our website. Disabling and
never include any options for other people to view user

using our systems are also warn users not to share their

notification as it may lead to phishing or exploitation.

or Digital copy options depending on the product
purchased. Our customers will then either answer the
Order fulfilment or skip/disable it. Give any insight or

return or refund their products if proven to be defected
by the time of arrival or testing.
Logistics
Gaming industry will supply products they have produced
and stored in their own warehouse depot before supplying
to us, the products will later then delivered and kept in
secure store as a temporary depot while waiting for
customer order/purchase or have them purchase physically
at the counter in one of our store branch.
Through online retailing, customer makes an order online
and added to his/her online shopping cart/wish list to
purchase later on. Then once they’ve done adding their
online cart, they could make the purchase by verifying
their online transaction via paying through any online
payment methods. They will then be notified to check
their e-mail for confirmation in shipping their product
to the appropriate address. Once confirm, the product
delivery is made and ship to their respective address of
the customers.
Any final small fee of delivery payment will be conducted
once the product have arrive to their destination,
customers can make note any defect of the product and
report accordingly to receive their refund and return
their product.

third party vendor which we sell their products to their

them. Charging them interest, with the services to
deliver and sell their products to customers. Game
industry have several companies to make business with but
with few of them are big names could easily fund their
reach to online retailers with their spending, other
lesser known companies in the gaming industry may hit a
small snag to market their product using their own
budget.

The first step is to analyze our company and create a
clear vision of our company. This is to establishing the
purpose of the business. By analyzing the company and

direction and understand the position on the company.
Here at Impulse Megastore, our value is to arm our
customers with the latest games, apparel and gaming
accessories without spending a lot. Our product lineup
are
PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation
Vita, Nintendo Wii U, Razer, Turtlebeach, Steelseries,
Grado, Jinx and Casio Watches. Our mission is to be the
cheapest and the best gaming store in the whole Malaysia.
Our target market is gamers throughout Malaysia, from the
age of 8 and above. Our competitors will be Play-asia and
Gamers Guild.
We believe the game market will keep on growing
throughout the world, since now it’s the era of
technology and electronics. In the future, the gaming
industries will be even bigger, since more console and
better computer is coming out. Our primary problem right
now it’s the piracy on this country. A lot of people
pirate games instead getting the original, and this
starting becoming biggest issue in the world of gaming.
We are getting better opportunity after people knowing
our store, more and more gamers decide to support
original games instead of pirating it after knowing our
store selling the gaming product in such a low price. But
the treat is both Play-asia and gamers guild having their
price as low as ours, sometime even lower.

After analysing the company, we have conducted a series
of strategy to start up a e-commerce business. The main
reason to start out the e-commerce site for the company
is because:
1. It’s easier to gain new customers . Having Physical
retail is driven by branding and relationships. Online
retailing or e-commerce is driven by traffic from search
engines. It is usual for customers to follow a link in
search engine results, and land up on an e-commerce
website that they have never heard of. This additional
source of traffic can be the tipping point for our e-
commerce businesses. Since one of our biggest problem is
lack of publicity, this could help us to solve the issue.
2. It’ll provide lots of choices to our customer. Since
there are no shelf size or store size limitations, e-
commerce businesses are able to list many different
items. This could help us achieve one of our value, that
is to arm our customers with the latest games, apparel
and gaming accessories. And by starting an e-commerce
business, we could provide more products to our customer.
3. The shop remain open all the time. E-commerce websites
can run all the time. From the our point of view, this
can increases the number of orders we receive throughout
Malaysia. From our customer's point of view, an "always
open" store is more convenient. This can also help us to
achieve our mission is to be the cheapest and the best
gaming store in the whole Malaysia.
4. Lower Costs. One of the best reason of e-commerce is
the lowered cost. A part of these lowered costs could be
passed on to customers in the form of discounted prices.
It also help us to save price on Advertising and
Marketing, for example: social media traffic are one of
the advertising channels that can be cost-effective.
Personnel the automation of checkout, billing, payments,
inventory management, and other operational processes,
lowers the number of employees required to run an e-
commerce website.
Even thought it provide a lots of benefits, we are to
consider the risk.
1. E-commerce Lacks That Personal Touch
Lots of our customer value our physical retail store and
prefer a personal approach, and we do value our human
relationship. As a result, shopping our those retail
outlets is more reassuring and refreshing. Clicking on
"Buy Now," and piling up products in virtual shopping
carts, is just not the same.
2. E-commerce Delays Goods
E-commerce websites deliver take a lot longer to get the
goods into our customer hands. But if they want to buy a
game that they wanted right now, they cannot buy it off
an e-commerce website. Likewise with gaming equipment
that they want to replace now, a guide book that they
want to read tonight, a birthday gift that they need this
evening etc.
3. E-commerce Doesn’t Allow Our Customer to Experience
the Product Before Purchase
They cannot test out the game they wanted to buy. They
cannot check how the feels of the keyboard, mouse or
controller before hand, etc.
In many cases, we let our customers experience the games
or products before purchase. E-commerce does not allow
that. If they buy a Razer headphones, they cannot play it
online to check if it sounds right.
Even thought there’s quite a number of disadvantages, we
have come out with a plan to overcome it.
The first issue on “E-commerce Lacks That Personal
Touch”, we will establish another website on a social
media site, like Facebook and Twitter. Over there we can
maintain our customer relationship by allowing them
comment and share their thoughts on the new products and
our store and services. We will reply them to maintain
the efficiency.
Second issue on “E-commerce Delays Goods”, we can
solve that by using express delivery like Pos Laju in
Malaysia. Even though with express shipping, the earliest
they get goods is "tomorrow." But, it’s better then
delaying our consumer goods. We will also provide the
option on retail store pick up. For customers that don’t
want waiting and save the time on selecting in the shop
and Queuing on payment.
The last issue that we might face is “E-commerce
Doesn’t Allow Our Customer to Experience the Product
Before Purchase”. We can solve that by capturing lots of
photo or share our thoughts on the products and provide a
clearer product description. Although it’s still won’t
allow our customer to feel the product, but it’ll at
least provide them with some idea on the products. Next
we just have to maintain our product quality and our
consumer will have confident in our new e-commerce store.
After analysing the benefits and risk of the e-commerce
business. We have a few ideas on how we’ll set up our own
e-commerce store.
1. Micro-Target an Online Audience. Designing a site to
achieve our audience with a common interest or
characteristic. Our product or service will define our
company’s niche markets that we can penetrate online with
specialized offerings. In another words, we will design
the webpage that suits gamers, and to gamers that are new
to e-shopping.
2. Personalize. We are going to offer a one-of-a-kind
experiences that cater to our customer needs and
interests. We are going to capture gamers interests and
preferences to generate a product selection and shopping
experience led by individualized promotions.
3. Tailor the Browsing Experience to customer.
Appropriate site design and well-structured navigation
remain key ingredients for attracting an audience and
getting them to come back. Provide an enticing browsing
experience across online platforms. If we want to sell
