11. The Department of Biochemistry has been organizing „Homeostasis‟ - The Gujarat state

Biochemistry Quiz for undergraduate students since 2015. This year (2017) was the third

edition of this quiz.

12. Department of Anaesthesia organized basic life support workshop conducted at GCS medical

college in ISCON 2016 (IMA students wing national conference) ,

13. Department of Anaesthesia organized BLS and advanced cardiac life support SME education

programme organized at GCS Medical College December 2016. (American heart

association)

14. One day State level workshop on “A Client Satisfaction Survey among the Beneficiaries Treated at

Super-Specialty Health Care Centres under School Health Program in Gujarat” under aegis of

Indian Association of Preventive and Social Medicine- Gujarat Chapter (IAPSM-GC) and

Commissionerate, Heath, Medical Services and Medical Education, Government of Gujarat was




conducted by Community Medicine department, G.C.S. Medical College, Ahmedabad in February

2019. Two faculties from each of the 18 Medical colleges ( total around 50 participants)participated

in the workshop followed by data collection in each district of Gujarat.

15. A workshop for 3 days‟ Virtual Webinar series on „Tableau public-Data visualization

Software” organized by Community Medicine Dept., GCSMC, conducted in July 2020. Dr. Nirav

Joshi, Faculty of Community Medicine department, P.D.U.Medical College, Rajkot was the speaker

and trainer for Post graduate residents of Community Medicine department of G.C.S. Medical

College, N.H.L. Municipal Medical College and B.J. Medical College, Ahmedabad. Total 25 PG

residents of Community Medicine departments of above mentioned colleges had attended the

sessions.

16. Symposium on Malaria by Third MBBS Part-I students was conducted under the guidance of

faculties of Community Medicine department, G.C.S. Medical College, Ahmedabad in October

2018. Total 8 students had presented and around 150 students and faculties were present as audience

in the symposium.

17. Symposium on Diabetes by Third MBBS Part-I students was conducted under the guidance of

faculties of Community Medicine department, G.C.S. Medical College, Ahmedabad in June‟ 2019.

Total 7 students had presented and around 150 students and faculties were present as audience in the

symposium.

18. Gujarat chapter of Indian radiological & imaging association organized a National

conference in January 2020; Dr. Asutosh Dave, HOD, Radiology, GCS medical College was

organizing secretary of the conference.

19. National Anaesthesia Conference (ISA) ISACON 2021 Ahmedabad in Nov 2021; Dr. Heena

Chhanwal, Prof and HOD Anaesthesia was SCIENTIFIC SECRETRAY of the Conference.

20. Gujarat chapter of Association of Medical Biochemists of India and GCS Medical college,

Ahmedabad conducted a state level CME cum workshop on the theme of “Clinical Biochemistry

Instrumentation” on 28, 29 & 30th September 2021. Dr. Ramesh Pradhan, HOD, Biochemistry,
