a storm and the men on the ship

threw Jonah overboard. Then he

was swallowed by a large fish. Jonah

prayed to God while inside the fish

and after three days the fish spit Jonah

out on dry ground. This time when God

told Jonah to go to Nineveh he obeyed.

Play a variation of hide and seek

with your child this week. Hide a

small object, and then allow your

child to try to find it. Sing Jesus

Loves Me or another favorite song as

they hunt. Sing louder as they come

closer to the object and softer as they

draw away from it. Repeat several

times. Give your child the opportunity

to hide the object for you! Discuss with

your child how Jonah tried to hide from

God instead of telling others about Him.

Talk with your child about someone they

can tell about Jesus. Be sure to practice

the memory verse together.
