provided to every child free-of-cost irrespective of their

social or economic status. While many may think of it

as an expenditure, I strongly believe that it's an

investment and a very necessary one, not only in the

children but in the very future of this world”, says

Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai who spearheads the

mission of love and service as propounded by Sri

Sathya Sai Baba. Indeed, the life of Sri Madhusudan Sai

reflects Baba's message of love and service, as several

lives are being illumined through these benevolent

acts of service every single day.

In this issue of the Corporate Social Focus magazine,

we are going to unravel a fascinating story of what one

man is doing silently, which is creating impact and

touching the lives of many thousands of children and

their families. “Ask not what your country can do for

you, ask what you can do for your country”, is the

famous quote of JF Kennedy, and this is the question

which Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai nudges every

student, sta" and anyone who comes in his orbit to

enquire within. Building Bharath through free nutrition,

free education and free healthcare is his motto and the

raison d'être behind all the service initiatives not only in

India, but across 33 countries.

A BRIEF NOTE ON THE FOUNDER

mended over 170,000 little hearts in Chhattisgarh,

Haryana and Maharashtra, a multi-disciplinary tertiary

care hospital has been set-up in the recent past in

Karnataka, two exclusive mother and child hospitals

have already been inaugurated as part of ten hospitals

across the country in Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra,

27 values-based educational campuses across

Karnataka, Telangana and Tamil Nadu where 5,000

rural children are being empowered with values-based

integral education, a veda gurukulam to promote

learning and research in vedic studies in Karnataka,

and a morning nutrition programme which nourishes

over 500,000 school-going children every single day

across 22 States and 3 Union Territories, and 11 Centres

for Human Development in 11 countries have been

established to carry out service and spiritual activities

across the world absolutely free of cost to children from

needy and impoverished backgrounds.

Sri Madhusudan Sai is a disciple of Sri Sathya Sai Baba,

and is also an alumnus from Baba’s educational

institutions. Inspired by the ideals of selfless love and

service, and walking in the footsteps of Baba, various

humanitarian service projects are being initiated every

single day! Since 2011, he has been leading dedicated

volunteers and passionate individuals to establish

institutes of excellence in education, healthcare,

nutrition, and spirituality across the world. Today, three

programme was started in July 2012

by a few volunteers, and as the

activities increased in scale and

complexity, it blossomed into a

thousands of teachers at the

collaborating with the Sri Sathya

Sai Annapoorna Trust.

Sai Loka Seva Gurukulam Group of

the country, a chance to access

primary foundational level of

education, and to completely

remove 'a'ordability' from the

Right to good health is a basic right

of every human born on this planet.

Madhusudan Sai embarked on the

m i s s i o n o f p r o v i d i n g

compassionate, quality and free-

of-cost healthcare, starting with the

heart by addressing the global

b u r d e n o f c o n g e n i t a l h e a r t

diseases in children.

The first dedicated, totally free-of-

cost, Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani

Centre for Child Heart Care was

established at Nava Raipur Atal

Nagar, Chhattisgarh in November

2012. In November 2016, the

second Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani

International Centre for Child Heart

Care & Research was inaugurated

by the Honourable Prime Minister

of India – Mr Narendra Modi at

Baghola, Palwal District, Haryana.

The third hospital Sri Sathya Sai

Sanjeevani Centre for Child Heart

Care & Training in Pediatric Cardiac

Skills, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai was

established in November 2018.

As of July 2022 14,750, over

paediatric cardiac surgeries and

more than 5,350 Cath interventions

have been performed across the

three heart care centres. More than

outpatients have been attended to

treated patients from 14 developing

countries and conducted four

international child heart care

missions in Nigeria and Fiji.

Divine Mother and Child Health

Program started in September 2017

to focus on preventive care for

expecting mothers and rural

school-going children. This is a

comprehensive early detection and

s y s t e m i c h e a l t h s c r e e n i n g

programme based on Government

of India's, Rashtriya Bal Swasthya

Karyakram (RBSK). As of July

2022, 85,000 children andover

16,350 expecting mothers have

been screened and treated.

As a preventive step to mitigate

cardiac defects and to tackle the

problem of hidden hunger, SaiSure

– a Multi Nutrient Supplement

Programme, was launched in

February 2019, as an attempt to

address the specific nutritional

needs of expecting mothers,

toddlers , pre-schoolers , and

children at absolutely no cost.

pressing needs of maternal and

Yavatmal are already operational.

On the international habitats, Suva

in Fiji, Batticaloa in Sri Lanka, Ebbe

and Imo in Nigeria, and Clarksdale

in USA are also providing free

quality healthcare to children and

On April 27, 2022 South Pacific's

first super-speciality paediatric

cardiac hospital - Sri Sathya Sai

Hospital was inaugurated at Suva,

Fiji by the Honourable Prime

Minister of Fiji, Mr Josaia Voreqe

Bainimarama, in the presence of

Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai. From

April 30, 2022 to May 08, 2022, a

team of 21 medical professionals

including a few local medical

professionals in Fiji, successfully

completed life-saving procedures

by performing paediatric heart
