This year Tim, Year 8 is participating in the Alan Turing Cryptography Competition again. So far he has successfully solved 5 out of 6 chap-ters. Solving these chapters requires a lot of knowledge about various ciphers. Tim had to read books on cryptography to find out about new ciphers. Soon the final chapter will be released. Hopefully he will man-age to find the correct answer. Good luck, Tim!

Amour n’a point de loi

de notre amour, nous serons souverains

Mrs Long’s Weekly Walks

Eye Spy – another plaque – can you walk to this one in Bromley ?

Look who I walked with over half term. Anyone recognise this person ?

These sheep are on our doorstep, in a field just by Hawkwood. Spot the odd one out!

Answers to Mrs Long’s little quiz The single yellow flower is the first sighting of a celandine. The difference is a crocus and a Daffodil waiting to bloom ( still in bud). The snowdrop and its bigger friend is called a Snowflake ( Leu-cojum aestivum). Final photograph - The flower that will grow from the leaves is a cyclamen. They have various colours – can you find any on your walks? Welsh Cakes for St David’s Day

for the Teenage Cancer Trust by completing her challenge

of 100 squats a day throughout the month of

Covid Testing

Last week I went in to have my COVID test, although it was odd to be back in school after months of being at home, it was really nice to see everyone and I couldn’t wait to be back for good. Seeing my classmates was comforting and although having the test was not very comfortable- having the negative result gave me a lot of reassurance and made me realise just how important having the COVID test really is. George, Year 10

Last week, I went into school for my Covid test. It was strange going back into school after all this time, and I was nervous about having the test done but everyone there was kind and helpful and it was really well organised. The test wasn't as bad as I thought as it was going to be and I'm relieved to have had it done. Priya, Year 10

I was unsure as to what to expect from the Lateral Flow Testing, however, it was a very positive experience and good preparation for return to school. We were supported through the registration process; it was all very straightforward and did instil confidence, along with the wearing of masks for the on-going safety of the school community.
