Chairman’s Pen

My dear fellow exporters,

As per a report in Economic Times on May 04, 2011, the FinanceMinistry has rejected the extension of DEPB scheme beyond June 30,2011.

EEPC India is deeply concerned about this and we are taking up thematter with both Commerce & Industry Ministry and Finance Ministry. We are also getting representation from various members regardingthe impact the withdrawal of DEPB scheme will have on exports andalso there are indications that exports from July 2011 will fall if DEPBis not extended.

Yours sincerely,

(AMAN CHADHA)
