Open Studios North Fife is an award winning eventOpen Studios North Fife is only possible because of the hard work of volunteer committee members, Open Studios participants and those who give their services at special rates in order to support us. We are particularly indebted to designer Richard Budd. Involved from year one, he has created our brand, puts up with numerous changes of mind and, we believe, contributes one of the most outstanding pieces of artwork of the event – the brochure! We are also very grateful to Bob Burns at Take One Media for his generosity and support for Open Studios North Fife and to Donald at Beaconweb for continued support of our website.

Open Studios North Fife 2021 will be Sat 1st, Sun 2nd and Mon 3rd May 2021

Open Studios North Fife was set up in 2005 to promote the wealth of talent of professional artists and makers in the area. We started with 14 people and now number over 70.

As artists and craftspeople we manage our studios and our careers in lots of different ways. Some of us sell our work close to home and others also supply international markets. Some make multiples to specific designs while others are commissioned for

This is the 15th year of Open Studios North Fife. From award winning ceramicists and painters to jewellers, weavers and textile artists, and those working in glass, metal, wood, photography and pencil – we have them all.

You may notice that some other groups and individuals choose to hold exhibitions on the same weekend as Open Studios North Fife and sometimes use similar signage. You will be able to identify open

studio artists who have paid the participation fee which funds this brochure and the extensive advertising of this event by the large

blue number boards, corresponding to the studio numbers.

Open Studios North Fife is entirely self-funding. To help cover the cost of our event we are running a raffle. Look out for participating studios to have the opportunity of winning a prize.

We hope you enjoy visiting lots of us!

bespoke pieces or create one-off paintings and sculpture.

The scale we work on varies too, ranging from small intimate pieces to large architectural installations. But what we all have in common is the strong drive to make our own work and a real passion for the materials we use.

We hope you find visiting our studios inspiring and that it will give you an interesting insight into our unique way of life.

You’ll find clusters of studios only minutes apart and single studios in more rural locations worth going to for the views as well as the work on show! We have provided maps and directions for each studio but if you are not familiar with the area you might want to bring a road map.

All studios are open for 3 days Fri 8th, Sat 9th & Sun 10th May

Keep this brochure for future reference. Many of the artists welcome visits to their studios throughout the year.

See details of extended and other opening times

in individual entries.
