C. HSS GAMMA I HSS ini dikembangkan oleh Sri Harto yang diturunkan berdasarkan teori hidrograf satuan sintetik yang dikemukakan oleh Sherman. HSS Gamma I merupakan rumus empiris berdasarkan beberapa parameter-parameter DAS. Parameter tersebut adalah: 1. faktor sumber (SF), yaitu perbandingan antara jumlah panjang sungai –sungai tingkat satu (orde 1) dengan jumlah panjang sungai – sungai di semua tingkat. 2. frekuensi sumber (SN), yaitu perbandingan antara jumlah pangsa sungai-sungai tingkat satu (orde 1) dengan jumlah pangsa sungai-sungai di semua tingkat. 3. Faktor lebar (WF), yaitu perbandingan antara luas DAS yang diukur di titik di sungai yang berjarak 0,75 L dengan lebar DAS yang diukur di titik sungai yang berjarak 0,25 L dari stasiun Hidrometri. 4. Luas DAS sebelah hulu (RUA) yaitu perbandingan antara luas DAS yang diukur di hulu garis yang ditarik tegak lurus garis hubung antara stasiun Hidrometri dengan titik yang paling dekat dengan titik berat DAS, melewati titik tersebut. 5. Faktor simetri (SIM), yaitu hasil kali antara faktor lebar (WF) dengan luas DAS sebelah hulu (RUA) 6. Jumlah pertemuan sungai (JN) adalah jumlah semua pertemuan sungai dalam DAS tersebut. Jumlah ini tidak lain adalah jumlah pangsa sungai tingkat satu dikurangi satu.

Luas DAS sebelah hulu (RUA) yaitu perbandingan antara luas DAS yang diukur di hulu garis yang ditarik tegak lurus garis hubung antara stasiun Hidrometri dengan titik yang paling dekat dengan titik berat DAS, melewati titik tersebut.5.
