Primary Health care

Here in Indonesia we got three levels of doctor for people. There is primary health

care, secondary health care (doctor specialist), and tertiary health care (sub-specialistdoctor). Primary health had an important tas (!orrol, "##$) to become the first contact

with patient and providing guidance, mae a diagnosis and the therapy, giving a support

for all patients with any bacgrounds or stages of siceness, giving the information about prevention, diagnosis, treatment, prognosis, nown how to prevent and control chronic

disease or scoring from ris about disablement, education of health, nown early sympton

of sicness, prevent therapy, and change of behavior.

Primary Health care listed on %&& 'o. "# Tahun "#* about medical education. In

chapter + paragraph %&& 'o. "# tahun "#* said, doctor primary health care need togo to net level of education after medical education and insternship programme, doctor 

 primary health care have same level as specialist doctor. egree that would be awarded

for doctor who have finish %octor primary health care* education program is p/0

(pecialist /amily 0edicine). 1e hope that doctor primary health care can act as gateeeper which will handle holistic service, prevention, and promotion not as 2ust curative.

octor primary health care has also oriented to family doctor, occupation, community,managing, and leadership.

There is difference between doctor primary health care and general doctor. octor 

 primary health care is more competent than general doctor. octor primary health care

will get education such as +#3 competence as fmily doctor and "#3 as public healthcare. The sill that doctor primary doctor had is a family doctor concept, clinical

management family doctor, clinical sill and provement of nowledge

0edical 4ducation of doctor primary health care are medical education programwhich is same as specialist education. !eneral doctor could tae the education after their 

finished the intern programme especially in 5 important programme such as obgyn,

internist, surgeon and pediatric on 6# credits. 7ut on specialist education their only had

$ credits. o we can say that doctor primary health care as good as specialist doctor.

To become doctor primary health care you must follow the procedure. 8ctually this program is targeted for general doctors who has became goverment employee that want

to become doctor primary health care. /or general doctor who has done at least 6 years of 

clinical practice as general doctor can fill the form and submit it. oon after that, theywill see three point of eperience as general doctor. The three point are recogni9e prior 

learning, recogni9e prior practice, and award that already got . If all of the competence

have been fullfilled, there will be training for two wees 1e can follow this education

 program at our free will, so there is no forcing from goverment for us to tae this

education program. /or general doctor who is the new one, they must tae the regular 

 program for three years
