ABSTRAK
Mesin cetak CV Bayu Mandiri yang digunakan untuk proses offset
printing belum sepenuhnya bekerja secara efektif. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan
adanya downtime, penurunan kecepatan mesin dan menghasilkan cetakan yang
tidak sesuai dengan standard yang telah ditetapkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk
mengukur dan mengetahui tingkat efektivitas mesin cetak menggunakan metode
Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). OEE merupakan alat bantu untuk
mengukur efektivitas mesin dan peralatan berdasarkan tiga kategori yaitu
Availability, Performance Efficiency dan Rate Of Quality. Penelitian ini juga
menggunakan Fishbone Diagram untuk mengidentifikasi Six Big Losses. Teknik
pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui wawancara dengan kepala produksi beserta
staff terkait dan data internal CV Bayu Mandiri khususnya data produksi dan data
downtime mesin cetak periode januari-desember 2018.
Hasil penelitian nilai Overall Equipment Effectiveness membuktikan
bahwa efektivitas mesin cetak belum maksimal. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan nilai
rata-rata Overall Equipment Effectiveness periode Januari-Desember berkisar
antara 42,07% sampai 89,50% yang artinya masih berada dibawah standar JIPM
yaitu OEE >85%. Faktor yang paling mempengaruhi efektivitas mesin cetak yaitu
reduced speed losses.

ABSTRACT
The CV Bayu Mandiri printing machine used for the offset printing
process has not fully worked effectively. This is indicated by the presence of
downtime, a decrease in engine speed and produce prints that are not in
accordance with predetermined standards. This study aims to measure and
determine the level of effectiveness of printing machines using the Overall
Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method. OEE is a tool to measure the
effectiveness of machines and equipment based on three categories, namely
Availability, Performance Efficiency and Rate Of Quality. This study also uses
Fishbone Diagrams to identify Six Big Losses. Data collection techniques were
obtained through interviews with the head of production and related staff and CV
Bayu Mandiri internal data specifically production data and printing machine
downtime data in January-December 2018.
The results of Overall Equipment Effectiveness's research prove that the
effectiveness of the printing press is not maximal. This is indicated by the average
value of Overall Equipment Effectiveness in the January-December period
ranging from 42.07% to 89.50%, which means it is still below the JIPM standard,
which is OEE> 85%. The factors that most influence the effectiveness of printing
machines are reduced speed losses.
