ORTHOPEDIC SURGERY PATIENT PROFILE IN GENERAL HOSPITAL DR. ZINOEL ABIDIN YEAR 2012-2014 Herdi Gunanta 1 , Syarizal Rahman 2 1 Fakultas Kedokteran, Universitas Syiah Kuala, Banda Aceh, Indonesia 2 Bagian Bedah Urologi, BLUD RSUD Dr. Zainoel Abidin, Fakultas Kedokteran, Universitas Syiah Kuala, Banda Aceh, Indonesia Trauma injury has become part of the Global Burden where the musculoskeletal disease problem has take a part in the field of orthopedic and traumatology play a causative role of disability in low-middle income countries. The purpose of this study was to determine the profile of orthopedic surgery patients by sex, age, diagnose and surgery procedure. This research begin from 1 January 2012 until 30 December 2014 at Zainal Abidin Hospital. Design of this research based on descriptive retrospective with total sample 4.296 patients based on medical records. Data analysis using univariate study by looking at the entire profile observed variables. The results obtained in this study for the variable sex was at most 2,812 men (65.5%), for age mostly in range 26-49 years old with 1,672 patients (38.9%), the most widely diagnosis was a femur fractur as many as 1.292 patients (30.1%) and surgery variable the mostly performed procedure was ORIF in 688 patients (39.3%). Highest number of patients were male, for diagnose and surgery procedure that performed were femur fractures and ORIF. Keyword : trauma, global burden disease, femur fracture, ORIF
