1. Refer to the following TechNote:

https://www.veritas.com/content/support/en_US/article.100003972

2. Requires Oracle patch 17501491 (ODM API version is not correct forODM_MKDIR call in 11.2.0.4.0).

3. If a private network interface—on which the private IP address for Oracle GridInfrastructure is configured—is brought down on a cluster node that runs OracleRAC 11.2.0.2 or later, the HAIP resource fails to fail over the private IP address. This causes the Oracle instance to fail on the node on which the privateinterface is brought down. This issue occurs because AIX does not provide anotification of any change in the status of a network interface. Oracle and IBMare working together to resolve this issue (Oracle bug ID: 10373244).

Workaround: Append the following lines at the end of the /etc/rc.net file:

# /usr/sbin/ifconfig interfaceName monitor >>$LOGFILE 2>&1

where interfaceName is the name of the private network interface. Ensure thatyou add a line for each such interface.

4. Requires linking with Veritas Extension for Oracle Disk Manager (ODM) withOracle database 12.1.0.2 or later. For details, refer to the following TechNote:
