Subject: Delano Baseball Field - Lighting

Kyle, It was nice meeting with you and reviewing the lighting design information for the Delano baseball stadium. One of the questions was the warranty time period. Typically, when we mount our lighting system to Musco poles, we provide a 25 year parts and labor warranty as we know all of the structural information. When Musco is mounted to existing towers, the standard warranty is 10 years parts and labor. I spoke to Musco Corporate and explained that we needed to provide a 25 year warranty on this project in order to make it work for the owner. Musco has consented to move ahead with the 25 year warranty which will cover all parts, labor, diodes, light levels, and uniformity of light on the field. The baseball field will be lit to 60 footcandles infield and 40 footcandles outfield. The Musco lighting system also includes the Control-Link wireless controls system that allows the owner to program and operate the field lighting from a personal computer or iPhone. Musco will provide training for anyone involved with operation and scheduling of the lighting (Baseball Association and City). Also, I am available to meet with the City and Baseball Association to go over any questions regarding the lighting system.

The costs of lighting the baseball field are as follows:

Musco LED lighting system delivered with Control-Link and 25 year warranty....$182,387.

Structural installation of lighting system on (8) towers and removal of existing fixtures...$37,811.

New electrical system by Fobbe Electric (not including work by the Utility Department)...$28,225.

Total cost as stated above: $248,423.

Structural work on the towers would need to take place over the winter months and may require snow removal assistance by the City. Please let me know if there are any questions.
