(li) terminating the said reaction by subjecting the poly-merized mass to a presure of 7-8 kg/crn^, whereby a stablepolymer of relative viscosity (of 1% solution in 96% sul-phuric acid determined conventionally) from 2.0 to 5.0 isobtained;

(iii) the polymer so obtained is extruded, in (he form ofribbons, cut into chips, extracted with hot water to removemoisture to produce polycaproamide chips which are used toproduce yarn or film by melt-extrusion technique.
