PRESENTATION PRESENTATION OVERVIEWOVERVIEW

Vision“To be a premier centre of excellence in management development and policy research in the region”

Mission“To develop socially and professionally responsible and proactive leaders and managers with holistic values and competencies”

In realizing the above vision and mission, RIM focuses on the following strategic areas:

RIM – Strengthening Institutional Capacity and develop RIM into a financially self-sustaining Institute.

Civil Service – Building management capabilities and meeting future requirements of the civil service.

Local Governance – Facilitate decentralization process and enhance community participation through capacity development.

Private Sector Development – Facilitate private sector capacity development through training, research and consultancy.

Background

The Institute perceives the external forces of change in its immediate environment and envisages the need to constantly communicate with its environment. Good publicity management and the concern for establishing credibility and institutional image have been the basic principles for creating the Communication Unit in 2003.

 Objectives

1) To manage all communication functions of the Institute (such as creation of public awareness about the roles and activities of the Institute; dissemination of relevant information to its stakeholders and clients; production of updated course brochures, profile, advertisement texts and other similar information materials).

2) To maintain a constructive relationship with its stakeholders and establish a systematic feedback mechanism, which would be evaluated and monitored and provided to the Management for necessary action.

To strengthen the research area of the institute, three research hubs were created viz.:

1) Entrepreneurship and Innovation; 2) Corporate and Public Sector Governance & Strategic Policy

Analysis;3) Language, Cultural and Legal studies.
