Hooked on the Scalpel

Right now in many countries, there are so many people who are addicted to plastic surgery on their faces. Although experts have said that cosmetic surgery is not healthy and dangerous for the health of human skin, it still does for some reason. In countries such as China, we can find a lot of plastic surgery cases. According to the director of the Beijing Tongren Hospital plastic surgery and beauty center, Zheng YongSheng, the people who want cosmetic surgery usually are not satisfied with their personal appearance. Patient thinksthat by changing their appearance, the confidence will be boosted by itself. A psychiatrist named Li says that psychological problems are the main cause of people doing plastic surgery. Most of the problems faced by them is the experience of childhood. For example, people who aren’t confident with their looks will strive to entertain themselves with cosmetic surgery and finally lead into obsession and addiction. It is also for people who want to look young even though he is getting older.

People who experience that addiction, most of whom are people with obsessive compulsive disorder, body dysmorphic disorder or depression. Body dysmorphic disorder is a subtype of hypochondriasis illness or excessive anxiety that will impact in their psychological. Patient will feel unhappy and insecurebecause they think their appearance is not attractive to the others.A drug that is believed to be powerful enough to keep them away from the influence of cosmetic surgery is a family and our friends. They should be able to awaken us with positive thoughts, so that the patient can be physically and mentally normal.

Thick haze in Riau province is the result of forest and

of the students at SD 1 state Elementary School in Bandar

Ok good morning everybody

Introduce myself

My name is asjat gapur

And this day I will tell about Using Mobile Phone to Improve Maternal and Child Health

Different groups in the world are working to expand the uses

of mobile technology in health care is called Health Alliance.

In the world, there are six billion mobile phone subscriptions

in a population of seven billion people. And the most rapidly

growing markets are those in developing countries. A lot of

work to do to make use of mobile technologies for maternal and

child health. For example medication compliance and care

management.

There are about 800 women a day globally, and about three

million babies every year, who died from pregnancy and

childbirth. In 2011 Secretary of State Hillary Clinton

launched a public / private partnership called the Mobile

Alliance for Maternal Action or MAMA. She said the program

MAMA has sent messages to mobile phones to educate women about

their health. Message content that includes pregnancy and the

first year of a baby's life.

The message is also sent to the pregnant woman's husband and

mother-in-law, for example. That way they can understand what

needs to be done. The message can be text or voice message.

Even a simple text message can be important resources to

people who do not have internet access

Ok my friends I think is enough

Thanks for your attention and good morning.

New Zealand’s dairy industry faces a new contamination problem

following a recent botulism scare. After the issue about Fonterra

Milk company was found to have a bacteria that can cause botulism in

their formula about two weeks ago, some of lactoferrin products that

manufactured by Westland Company was found to have high levels of

nitrate, and it exported to China. Westland’s chief executive, Rod

Qiun said that’s because their products were not properly flushed

from its factory, and the contamination didn’t post (pose) a health

risk because lactoferrin used in food supplement as a minor

ingredient. To relieve the consumers he said all of their products

had been located and quarantined, none of it had entered the retail

food chain.

New Zealand’s MPI also said two of four consignments of

lactoferrin manufactured by Westland had been shipped but had not

reached consumers, and said any food safety risk to Chinese

consumers is negligible, because the quantities of lactoferrin is in

very small rate.

China’s top quality watchdog said all imported product from

Westland Company had stopped and asked other dairy companies in New

Zealand to provide nitrate test report. And The General

Administration of quality supervision, inspection and quarantine of

China ask New Zealand’s government to thoroughly scrutinize its

dairy company.

Westland Company produce (produces) less product (products)

than Fonterra company each year. The four consignments that

manufactured by Westland were derived from two affected batches of

lactoferrin. ANZ agricultural economist, Con Williams, said this

problem doesn’t seem to be substantial because only a very small

amount of product was affected.

Two batches of lactoferrin showed nitrate level above the New

Zealand maximum limit, Westland exported it to China. MPI, the

ministry of foreign affairs and trade and the company concern are

working closely with Chinese authorities. New Zealand relies on

dairy export in their annual export earnings.

BACK PAIN? MAYBE IT’S YOUR LEGS CAUSING THE PROBLEM

Many people don’t realize that back pain can be related withlower limbs malfunction. The patient who has back pain oftentimesfeel tugling or pulling sensation in the leg. Others may just

After two years she felt pain in herlower back. She did some treatment such as massage, consumed anti-inflamatory from general practitioner even visit physiotherapydepartment, but soon the pain was back. Until she finally decidedto visit a podiatrist. And then they discovered that the rootproblem of her back pain was her one leg was shorter from the otherby eight milimeters. This made Angela’s pelvis tilt and causing thespine to curve. After knew the root problem, she took the righttreatment and recovered in three weeks.

Broken Rhythm

A trial fibrillation is the most common type of irregularheart beat or heart arrhytmia. It happens because there is aglitch of heart’s electrical wiring.

Electrical impulses that control pumping motion of heart does not do the work in syncronation. Instead of move rhymicallyrelaxing and contracting, heart works to pump blood so heart doesnot work efficiently. It make blood pooling in heart’s chamberwhich offten because blood clots.

Patiens with AF will show how big the populations, which havehigh risk of stroke and in particular heavy stroke. The chance youget stroke increase 5 times and you will face the risk of heartfailure as well. There are 3 types of AF and each type can changeanother type over time.

Usually, we can not see clearly the symptom of AF difficult toidentify earlier the symptoms. The easiest way to identify AF’ssymptoms is detected of irregular pulse.

There are times when we can obviously see the symptoms of AF,such as: Palpitation is the sudden feeling of heart is pounding,

fluttering or racing. Feelings of pain, pressure or discomfort in the chest area. Feeling tired or lacking of energy to do daily activities. Feeling dizzy or about to faint.

You can use DIY test method to check how fast your hart beatsthrough your pulse. To do DIY test hold a hand out with palmupwards. Place your index and middle finger of your other hand onthe wrist, exactly under the thumb. This is the place where yourradial artery located.

Start counting the number of pulse that happen in one minute.A normal heart beat has regular rate of pulse approximately about60-100 beats/minute.

If you find that you have irregular heart beat (which is toofast or too slow), it is better for you to visit and check yourcondition to the doctor, wheter you have AF or not.

AF is a deadly disease! Try to diminish your chance of heavingAF with applying healthy that protect development. Your heart from heart disease example, having a healthy diet, exercise regulary, controlling your blood pressure, avoid smoking and decrease your consumtion of caffein

Over Seven Million People haveDiabetes in RI: IDF

The number of people suffering from diabetes is increasing rapidly across the world including Indonesia. Date last year alone from the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) shows that globally, 371 million people have been diagnosed with diabetes and 4.8 million people died from the disease. This situation is alarming for Indonesia.

Based on IDF, China is in the first position with 90 million diabetes patients, India is in the second position with 61.3 million people, and Indonesia is in the 10th ranks in the world with 7.6 million people.

Diabetes is spreading rapidly, because of changes in lifestyle and eating habits. Another problem is an acute shortage of diabetes specialists because of Indonesia have around 1,300 doctors to treat diabetes while the patients are in millions. Another problem is awareness because many people do not know that they are suffering from diabetes. If it happens they do not take it seriously.

The steps to prevent diabetes in Indonesia are reducing weight, eating enough, avoid smoking, and do physical exercise. So, it can reduce the number of diabetic patients inIndonesia.

Good morning everybody. .

Now I want to retell about my listening last week, and thetitle is, “For Smoker, Never Late To Quit, Diesel Exhaust and Cancer”

This is the VOA English health report.

Before that, we as know smoking is bad habit, if we smokingcontinue we can get many diseases the example cancer as wellas heart diseases.

There is new medical evidence of expression “better late thannever”. Researchers have found that the Smoker can reducetheir risk of dying from tobacco even if they stop smokingafter age sixty.

The last analysis by German researcher examined the finding ofseventeen studies carried out in the United State, China,Australia, Japan, England, Spain, and France.

Smoker sixty and older had eighty-three percent increase riskof dying for all causes compared to people who had neversmoked. And also had thirty-four percent higher risk of deathcompared to people former smoker.

And the opinion of T.H Lam “people who continue to smoke assenior have at least fifty percent chance of dying from theirsmoking habit.

“and if they stop smoking then they can reduce about one-quarter their excess risk. So this is the good news that olderpeople should not continue smoke”.

In other news, the World Health Organization now says dieselfuel exhaust causes cancer. Since nineteen eighty-eight theWHO had rate exhaust from Diesel engines as “probablycarcinogenic” to humans. Now, it compares the risk to that ofsecondhand cigarette smoke.

So the cigarette very dangerous for smoker health, but neverlate to stop smoking to reduce risks which caused bycigarette, the smoker must be realize that cigarette can maketheir life broken, and make short age.

For smokers, Never Too Late to Quit Diesel Exhaust and Cancer

This is Voa special english Health Report

There is new medical evidence for the expression “ betterlate than never”. Researchers have found that smokers reduce their risk of dying from tobacco even if they stop smoking after the age of sixty.

Smoking is a know risk for many diseases, including many forms of cancer as well as heart disease. But most of studies on the health effects of smoking involve middle aged people.

The latest analysis by German researchers examined the findings of seventeen studies carried out in the united states, China, Australia, Japan, England, Spain, and France.

Smoker sixty and older had an eighty – three percent increased risk of dying from all causes compared to people whohad never smoked. Smokers also had a thirty – four percent higher risk of death compared to former smokers.

T. H. Lam is professor in the school health university ofHongkong. He says people who continue to smoke as seniors haveat least a fifty percent chance of dying from their smoking habit.

T. H. Lam : “ And if they stop smoking, then they can reduce about one – quarter of their excess risk. So this is good news that older people shoul not continue to smoke”.

What about smokers who start at a young age and stop whenthey are in their thirties?

Dr. Lam says they can reduce their risk of dying from a smoking – related illness to almost the same level as someonewho never smoked. Even people who never smoke can still die from breathing other people’s secondhand smoke.

An article on smoking among older individulas, with a comentary by T. H. Lam, appeared in the Archieves of internal Medicine.

In other news, the world Heart organization now says diesel f uel exhaust causes cancer. Since nineteen eighty – eight the WHO had reated exhaust from diesel engines as “ Probably Carcinogenic” to human. Now, it compares the risk to that of secondhand cigarette smoke.

This month’s announcement came after international expertspent a week reviewing new research findings. Those included along – term study of more than twelve thousand miners who wereheavily exposed to diesel exhaust.

The diesel industry pointed out that the mining study lacked exact data on exposure levels during its early years. Also, diesel engine makers point to their new designs that produce far less emissions than older truck and bus engines.

The WHO says stronger standards are neededto limit dieselemissions into the air.

The united states Enviromental Protection Agency continues to rate diesel as only a “ likely” cause of cancer.

Alzheimer's disease is the most common cause of dementia. What trigger this disease are age and family history. So, the olderyou are the more likely you will get this disease and if one of yourancestorhad this disease before, the probability that you will haveone is also increasing. We can barely see people at the age of 30and 40 suffer from Alzheimer's. Conversely, people at the age of 50and above have a bigger chance.

In Alzheimer's, nerve cells in the particular areas of thebrain die. So it is hard for the brain's signals to be transmittedproperly. Furthermore, the brain will shrink as there are gapsformed in the temporal lobe and hippocampus, which are responsiblefor storing and retrieving new informations. Because of this, thepatient's ability to remember, speak, think and make decisions willbe distracted.

As you observe the brain of Alzheimer's patients under themicroscope, you can see that there are "tangles" and "plaques" whichare made up of protein fragments in some damaged regions of thebrain.

In addition, the common symptoms are:

Impaired memory and thinking. The patients will forget abouttheir personal informations such as birth date, birth place, name of close family members and so on.

Disorientation and confusion. For example, when a person putsthe patients in a room, they will forget how to return towhere they come from.

Misplacing things. As an example, when the patients put theirthings, they will foget where their put them.

Trouble in performing familiar tasks. A person withAlzheimer's will have difficulties to work or to be involvedin daily activities.

Inability to follow directions. For instance, the patientswill not be able to tie their shoe laces.

Problems with language and communication. It is hard for thepatients to recall or understand the meaning of common words.

Loss of motivation or initiative. The patients don't haveinitiative to do something unless someone tells them to do so.

Changes in personality and behaviour. The patients areemotional. For example, if you cancel some appointments thatyou have made before, they will get angry easily and may thinkthat you dislike them.
