THE STAIN Dirt, grime, gunk, muck. Fish blood, food, drinks. These are your surface stains. THE SCIENCEMost surface dirt will wash right off with boat soap and water. However, some gets ground in, especially on non-skid surfaces. That’s where surfactants come in. Surfactant molecules fully surround the dirt molecules and lift them from the surface that you’re cleaning. This allows them to be washed away with water. Chelating Agents are supercharged surfactants for specialized cleaning.THE SOLUTIONStar brite Boat Wash will definitely remove most surface dirt. For tough grime and gunk, use a cleaner/degreaser, such as Star brite Xtreme Clean or choose a surfactant based on the surface: Non-Skid Deck Cleaner for non-skid, Vinyl Cleaner for vinyl, etc…

THE STAIN Tree leaves, hull stains, rust stains, waterline stains, hard water stains, orange stains.THE SCIENCETannins are naturally produced in the decomposition of plant-based matter, and their signature orange-hued stains are dying your hull and fiberglass. Rust stains occur on the fiberglass around metal, where water leaches color from underneath the metal and deposits it on the surface. WHAT IS STAR TRON®?Star Tron is a unique, multifunctional fuel additive that solves most fuel issues, including those related to ethanol blended fuels. Star Tron has been solving fuel problems in engines across the US since 2003. It will improve the performance of all boats, cars, trucks, motorcycles, snowmobiles, ATVs, PWCs, generators, lawn & garden equipment. Star Tron is safe for use in all gasoline-powered engines under all conditions, Star Tron is an ideal all-season, all-purpose additive, and does all this at one of the lowest costs per liter of any fuel additive.

Be careful of what additive you use – many contain alcohol. Adding more alcohol to ethanol fuels can lead to engine problems. Read the MSDS of any fuel additive before using it with ethanol fuel. Star Tron does not contain any alcohol or other emulsifiers, and is 100% safe for use in all ethanol blends from E5 to E85. Star Tron is easy to use, effective and cannot be overdosed.

FUEL 101: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT MAINTAINING FUEL QUALITY

PROBLEM 1: FUEL STABILITY AND DEBRIS IN FUEL AND FUEL SYSTEMSFuel intended to be used for 30 days or longer after purchase needs to be stabilized. As fuel ages it can form harmful gums and other solids that leave deposits throughout the fuel system. Carburetors, fuel pumps, injectors and the fuel tanks become gummed which makes the engine run poorly and hard to start, resulting in engine knock, lost performance, and rough idle. It is especially important to stabilize ethanol/gasoline blends which degrade much faster than traditional gasoline. STAR TRON SOLUTION: Star Tron is a powerful fuel stabilizer which helps prevent fuel breakdown for up to two years. This results in easier starts, more power and prevents pinging and knocking. Star Tron improves octane levels of sub-standard, non-spec or old fuel. In many cases, Star Tron can rejuvenate stale fuel, restoring it to serviceable condition. Star Tron’s enzymes break down gum and other debris into sub-micron sized particles that can be dispersed throughout the fuel and easily “burned” during the combustion process, restoring full performance and fuel efficiency.

PROBLEM 2: WATER IN FUELWater in fuel will degrade combustion, affect the octane level and can cause damage to internal components such as fuel pumps and injectors. As the amount of water in the fuel increases, engines begin to run rough or even stall. Ethanol fuel is even more likely to be affected because alcohol naturally attracts water from the atmosphere. Water in fuel can lead to phase separation when water and ethanol form a chemical bond and fall to the bottom of the fuel tank. STAR TRON SOLUTION: Star Tron’s enzyme formula treats water by reducing the surface tension between fuel and water, reducing the size of the molecular water clusters. This allows more water to be dispersed throughout the fuel as sub-micron sized droplets that can be safely eliminated as the engine operates. Star Tron-treated fuel allows more water to be burned off than with untreated fuel, drying out the tank and preventing water buildup.

PROBLEM 3: DECREASED POWER AND PERFORMANCEToday’s fuels have been designed to burn very cleanly, but at the expense of power and performance. The same ingredients used to improve emissions and control corrosion have some negative effects; less combustibility, decreased fuel economy and shorter shelf life. These effects are worse in ethanol blended fuels. STAR TRON SOLUTION: Star Tron’s enzyme formula helps to break apart large clusters of fuel molecules, creating more surface area. This allows additional oxygen to react during combustion, which results in a more complete burn of the fuel, improved fuel economy, engine power, throttle response and reduced toxic emissions. Star Tron removes carbon deposits, keeping your engine clean and operating at peak performance.
