It is a pleasure to introduce the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT), Rae Bareli (U.P.). The continuing increase in demand for energy and the need to go to uncharted locations for it has fueled the demand for professionals. This demand has been further increased due to the large number of retirements. Hence, the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Government of India took the bold initiative to set up RGIPT to help fill the need of professionals as well as carry out front end research, development and consultancy. RGIPT is the only Petroleum & Energy domain specific institute in India created by an Act of Parliament along the lines of IITs and supported by all oil and gas public companies. We will strive hard to keep the Nation's trust.

Do join us to realize the vision of modern India.
