ity requirements. We do this in close cooperation with our customers

during project development. We bring in more than 50 years industry-,

applications- and plastics experience. With reference projects like the

Why reinvent the wheel? Our knowledge data base stores all application

details. All employees have instant access to the complete knowledge of the

entire company. This helps to improve our evaluation of different solution

concepts and it reduces project planning time as well as providing additional

customer confidence.

High mechanical load on containers, caps with gigantic numbers of shots,

automotive light weight construction, clean room applications with thin

wall thickness in the medical industry … our hot runner solutions produce

every day with reduced cycle times, fast color change, dimensional accura-

cy, molding of difficult accessible parts, quickest shut off time, close drop

PSG’s process know-how:

Molded-in-color

Allows cost reduction because base coat is not needed. PSG provides

solutions to avoid black-spots by using sheer optimized melt channels.

Special single-drop-solutions guarantee fast color change.

Fabric In-Mold Laminating

An optimal temperature profile in the tip area prevents damage of the

sensitive fabric. An extra small nozzle design allows positioning between

ejector pins to save costs.

LGF Long glass-fiber injection

Glass fibers suffer much less damage.

PSG provides specially designed flowpaths from sprue bush to tip.

The parts’ structural properties increase as a result.

Stack and Tandem molds

We can integrate our hot runner accurately into your stack- and/or

tandem process.

In-mold-labelling

An error-free gate point in the label area is guaranteed by reduced thermal

stress inside the part.

Multi-component injection

We provide know-how based on more than 100 customer solutions (core

back, index plate, transfer process, rotational molds, …)

Sheer optimized melt channels guarantee low pressure for TPE/TPO materi-

als. Insulated manifolds are used by PSG for combinations of TPO and high

performance plastics making shorter cycle times possible.

Crystal clear plastics (PC, PS…)

Because of high precision valve gate nozzles we guarantee a

"cosmetically" perfect gate point.

MIM Metal injection molding

Fusion welded manifolds for metal injection molding combined with special

nozzles.

Sequential injection

A combination of precision closing shut-off system with specially designed

controller.

Hot Half’s

The worry-free package for "standard" and customized solutions.

Or innovative: sumoFmax the lever operated stroke plate.

Modular Design

Part quality and process stability are increased by using a modular mani-

fold design. This brings a lower height and additional pressure support

provides a more rugged mold.

High Precision Valve gate Systems

Nearly invisible gate marks and a high reproducibility of the high-quality

gate because of a tight cylindrical fit with a pre-centered valve pin.

Best example: The precision-valve gate systems of Prima. The needle

can be positioned to within 0.01 mm accuracy.

Single Drop Valve gate Nozzle

Direct-gating with valve gate nozzles without a sub manifold is possible by

using our Prima nozzle with ring cylinder operating unit. Sub manifolds are

only possible by using our Prima nozzle with ring cylinder operating unit.

The ideal solution for prototype or serial molds.

Cycle time can be reduced using an integrated cooling bush.

Electro-Magnetic Valve gate Nozzle

E-mag-S and E-mag-V: Lowest energy consumption, high force trans-

mission, shortest closing times, applicable for clean room, low wear...

Assembling and Disassembling from the Front

Service friendly products are shown by PSG’s product design.

Allows changing of heater, thermocouple, tip directly on the press.

That saves time and money.

Color Change

Color change optimization is always a top-priority of our hot

runner development. For example: Channel polishing of manifolds, auto-

motive large parts with valve gate systems (door panels).

Mold Filling Pressure Analysis

Near-reality mold filling and pressure loss can be offered as an option.

Drop in

Our completely pre-wired drop-in systems reduce installation time, avoid

failures and save time and money.

mensions... Straight Thermoject manifold systems guarantee long lifetime,

Complete Nozzle Range from 0.5 till 6000 g Shot Weight

Open nozzle, valve gate nozzles, injection nozzle, … PSG Plastic Service

offers a complete nozzle range. Contact-free needle stroke into cylindrical

tips guarantees micro string free parts and blemish-free gates.

Needle position is adjustable in 0.01mm increments.

Needle position indication is an available option.

PSG-hot runner controller - having everything under control right at your fingertips

In the beginning we offer technical advice and a free trial

Our experienced engineering team supports you. We get down to action

during a cost-free testing period, when you test the controller on site.

Prior to a controller being released into the market, our hot run-

ner department does thorough testing by putting the controller

through it’s paces

We know in detail how to control the temperature of a hot runner system.

This knowledge is passed on into our expert software for all our control-

lers. Complete automatic control of the hot runner even down to the

checking of the wiring.

Over molding protection included

We can identify overmolding by checking the temperature differences.

Our automatic control measures at the right position and identifies

failures, raises an alarm even before the overmolding is visible.

Heat ‘n dry

With a soft-start function we gradually heat up the mold and a

FI-protection avoids short circuit.

Finger Tip Operation

User-friendly touch screen and a customized operating interface guarantee

a smooth and well structured operation.
