Under the inspired guidance of eminent persons like Late Rao Bahadur M.A. Singarachariar, M.O. Parthasarathy Iyengar, Rao Bahadur V.T. Rangaswami Iyengar, L.V. Krishnaswamy Iyer, Rt. Hon’ble V.S. Srinivasa Sastry, G. Narasimhan and Dr. N.C. Raghavachari, known for their public spirit, the Hindu Educational Organisation runs four educational institutions signifying their commitment to the noble cause of education.

Started in the year 1978, The Hindu Senior Secondary School, Indira Nagar, is one among the four schools run by The Hindu Educational Organisation. At present it is headed by Shri. B.S. Raghavan, I.A.S. Retd., and the managing committee consisting of distinguished persons from different walks of life. They guide and manage the functioning of the school with focus on providing value based quality education.

The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi and has classes up to Class XII, with English as the medium of instruction.

The school is situated in the heart of Indira Nagar, a two storied structure consisting of spacious, well ventilated class rooms with adequate furniture. The school has excellent infrastructure with well equipped laboratories, library, computer center, maths lab, junior library, junior science lab, audio visual room & multipurpose hall.

The aim of the school is to provide value based education with a view to develop the mind and personality of each child; to inculcate the qualities of leadership, to instill Indian culture and respect for the noble ideals and norms of the society; to provide comprehensive education. We are following the scheme of evaluation as directed by CBSE for classes I to XII. The school provides a caring environment where students are stimulated to learn and improve their creative skills. Co-curricular activities and other programmes are designed for an optimum intellectual growth and overall development of the child. The school has an impressive track record of more than three decades of service.
