HYMN Christ, whose glory fills the skies, Christ, the true, the only light, Sun of Righteousness arise, Triumph o’er the shades of night; Dayspring from on high, be near; Daystar, in my heart appear. Visit then this soul of mine, Pierce the gloom of sin and grief; Fill me, radiancy divine, Scaer all my unbelief; More and more thyself display, Shining to the perfect day SUMMARY OF THE LAW Our Lord Jesus Christ said: The first commandment is this: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God is the only Lord. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. Amen. Lord, have mercy. CONFESSION Almighty God, our heavenly Father, we have sinned against you and against our neighbour, in thought and word and deed; through negligence, through weakness, through our own deliberate fault. We are truly sorry and repent of all our sins. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, who died for us, forgive us all that is past and grant that we may serve you in newness of life to the glory of your name. Amen.

SONGBe strong and courageousDo not be afraidDon't be discouragedFor the Lord yourGodwill bewith youOh be strong and courageousDo not be afraidDon't be discouragedFor the Lord yourGodwill bewith youWherever you go, wherever you go

When troubles comeThe Lord your God is with youHe will always be there by your sideHe is strong when you feel small andfrightenedYou will never, ever be alone

FIRSTREADING: Psalm 139. 1-14O Lord, you have searched me andknown me. You knowwhen I sit downand when I rise up; you discern mythoughts from far away. You searchout my path and my lying down, andare acquainted with all myways. Evenbefore a word is on my tongue, OLord, you know it completely. You

hemme in, behind and before, and layyour hand upon me. Such knowledgeis too wonderful for me; it is so highthat I cannot aain it. Where can I gofrom your spirit? Orwhere can I fleefrom your presence? If I ascend toheaven, you are there; if I make mybed in Sheol, you are there. If I takethe wings of the morning and sele atthe farthest limits of the sea, eventhere your hand shall lead me, andyour right hand shall hold me fast. If Isay, ‘Surely the darkness shall coverme, and the light around me becomenight’, even the darkness is not dark toyou; the night is as bright as the day,for darkness is as light to you. For itwas you who formed my inward parts;you knit me together in mymother’swombI praise you, for I am fearfullyand wonderfully made.Wonderful areyourworks; that I know verywell.

Hear the Gospel of our Lord JesusChrist according to Mahew. All: Glory to you, O Lord.

PRAYERSMerciful Father, accept these prayers for the sake ofyour Son, our Saviour, Jesus Christ.Amen.

THE PEACEThe peace of the Lord be alwayswith youand also with you.

THE EUCHARISTIC PRAYERThe Lord is here. His Spirit is with us.Li up your hearts. We li them to the Lord.Let us give thanks to the Lord ourGod.It is right to give thanks and praise. It is indeed right, it is our duty andour joy, at all mes and in all placesto give you thanks and praise, holy Father, heavenly King, almighty and eternal God,through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord.

For he is your living Word; throughhim you have created all things fromthe beginning, and formed us in yourown image.

Through him you have freed us fromthe slavery of sin, giving him to beborn of a woman and to die uponthe cross; you raised him from thedead and exalted him to your righthand on high.

Through him you have sent upon usyour holy and life-giving Spirit, and made us a people for your ownpossession.

Therefore with angels andarchangels, and with all the companyof heaven, we proclaim your greatand glorious name, for ever praisingyou and saying:Holy, holy, holy LordGod of power and might,Heavenandearth are full ofyourglory.Hosanna in the highest.Accept our praises, heavenly Father, through your Son our Saviour JesusChrist, and as we follow his exampleand obey his command, grant that bythe power of your Holy Spirit thesegis of bread and wine may be to ushis body and his blood;who, in the same night that he wasbetrayed, took bread and gave youthanks; he broke it and gave it to hisdisciples, saying: Take, eat; this is mybody which is given for you; do thisin remembrance of me.In the same way, aer supper hetook the cup and gave you thanks;he gave it to them, saying: Drink this, all of you; this is my blood of thenew covenant, which is shed for youand for many for the forgiveness ofsins. Do this, as oen as you drink it,in remembrance of me.

Therefore, heavenly Father, weremember his offering of himselfmade once for all upon the cross; weproclaim his mighty resurrecon andglorious ascension; we look for thecoming of your kingdom, and withthis bread and this cup we make thememorial of Christ your Son our Lord.Great is the mystery of faith:Christ has died:Christ is risen:Christ will come again.

Accept through him, our great highpriest, this our sacrifice of thanksand praise, and as we eat and drinkthese holy gis in the presence ofyour divine majesty, renew us byyour Spirit, inspire us with your loveand unite us in the body of your Son,Jesus Christ our Lord.

Through him, and with him, and inhim, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, with all who stand before you inearth and heaven, we worship you,Father almighty, in songs ofeverlasng praise:

Blessing and honour and glory andpower be yours for ever and ever.Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name;thy kingdom come;thy will be done;on earth as it is in heaven.Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses,as we forgive thosewho trespass against us.And lead us not into temptaon;but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.

We break this breadto share in the body of Christ.Thoughwe aremany,we are one body, because we all share in one bread.

Although your Spirit is upon me,sll I search for shelterfrom your light. There is nowhere on earthI can escape you:Even the darkness is radiantin your sight.

For you created me and shaped me,gave me lifewithin mymother's womb. For thewonderofwho I am, I praiseyou:Safe in your hands, all creaon is made new.

Almighty God, we thank you forfeeding us with the body and bloodof your Son Jesus Christ. Through himwe offer you our souls and bodies tobe a living sacrifice. Send us out inthe power of your Spirit to live andwork to your praise and glory. Amen.

HYMNGuide me, O thou great Redeemer,Pilgrim through this barren land;I am weak, but thou art mighty,Hold me with thy powerful hand:Bread of heaven, Bread of heaven,Feed me now and ever more,Feed me now and ever more.

Open now the crystal fountainWhence the healing stream dothflow;Let the fiery, cloudy pillarLead me all my journey through:Strong deliverer, strong deliverer,Be thou sll my strength and shield,Be thou sll my strength and shield.

When I tread the verge of JordanBid my anxious fears subside;Death of death, and hell’s destrucon,Land me safe on Canaan’s side:Songs of praises, songs of praises,I will ever give to thee,I will ever give to thee.
