The. Gwanda-Guyu. Road which is 53km longis located in the South-Western part of the country,Gwanda Town being 126km from Bulawayo andBulawayo City being 439 km from the Capital City,Harare. The road cross-section will be composed of a6.0m wide bitumen surfaced carriageway (doublesurface treatment) with 0.5m wide surfaced shoulders

- on either side within a formation width of 7.0m andit contains five bridges. The proposed new horizontalalignment follows the-existirig road in most places.The terrain is generally flat to gently rolling. Theproposed road profile follows the ground as closely aspossible‘and therefore earthworks have been mini-mized to a total of about 280 000m*. Base gravels willbe natural materials obtained from natural depositsalong the road alignment. -
