Quick Internet Setup Guide

TITANUS MX-1000 & MX-2000 Series

Please make sure the following are available for internet setup, for remote monitoring:

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

• A broadband router with active broadband internet connection

• A computer for NVR & router configuration for internet setup

• Android* smartphone/tablet or iPhone/iPad to perform MX mobile testing

An open virtual port is created to enable remote monitoring on a NVR systemfrom anywhere with the help of an active internet connection.

PERFORM PORT FORWARDING IN ROUTER

NVR NETWORK SETUP

Select the ‘Configuration’ button on the Live View screen, followed by Network > Network Setup.

NVR network information will be displayed on Network Setup Screen

*Make a note of the IP address & default gateway IP, which will be used to configure Port Forwarding in router.

STEP 1

STEP 2Within the Network Setup Screen, select ‘HTTP Service’ panel

Under the HTTP option, select ‘Enable’ & keep the Management Port as 80. Then press ‘Apply’

*Please be aware of other application in same LAN network, which may be occupying port 80 initially (web server, etc.) If so, please change the Management Port number to 81 or 82 or the next consecutive number.

NVR DDNS SETUP

Before proceeding with the setup, please apply for a dynamic domain account with a DDNS provider.

STEP 1

Select ‘DDNS’ under Network

Fill in your DDNS username, password and host name as registered with the DDNS provider. Click ‘Apply’.

*There might be subscription charges applicable by certain DDNS service provider, please refer to their official website for further information

PORT FORWARDING SETUP IN ROUTER

There are various brands and models of broadband routers in market. This standard Port Forwarding guide is applicable to most of them.

• Confirm your broadband router brand & model, remember it and proceed to www.portforward.com

• Select ‘List of all Routers’. From the List of Routers page, look for your router brand and model. The names will be listed in alphabetical order.

• For example, if your router is Asus RT-N12, select Asus first. Then look for RT-N12 on the following page.

• After clicking on RT-N12, select ‘Default Guide’ on the next page.

• Under the Default Guide page, you can learn how to login to the router on an IE browser, how to look for the port forwarding setting in the router and how to configure it.

CONNECT MX NVR WITH MX MOBILE APPS

After you complete the Network Setup in NVR & Port Forwarding setup in router, you can now setup the MX NVR remote viewing capabilities.

Get your Android smartphone/Apple* iPhone, proceed to marketplace/app store and search for MXMobile and install it on your smartphone.

STEP 1 : INSTALL MXMOBILE

Launch MXMobile and you will see the home screen as below:

STEP 2: ADD HOST (NVR) IN MXMOBILE

Launch MXMobile Select ‘Add NVR’ under Settings

Key in the NVR DDNS, Port Number, Login ID & Password

Return to the home screen and start the live view

STEP 3: REMOTE LIVE VIEW IN MXMOBILE

Return to home screen Select an added host and the live view screen will be displayed

Double tab any video channel for single view mode. Press ‘Back’ to return to the multiple view mode

Stay on the host live view screen and choose the video playback view.

STEP 4: REMOTE PLAYBACK IN MXMOBILE - STANDARD

There are 2 options for playback: i) Standard Playback ii) Playback by Log File Search

To perform standard playback on video file, select Date, Start Time/End Time and Camera. Then press ‘Play’

Except for the Play, Pause, Rewind & Fast Forward button, the user can drag the playback bar at the bottom to reach a specific play-back time faster.

Stay on the host live view screen and choose the video playback view.

STEP 5: REMOTE PLAYBACK IN MXMOBILE – PLAYBACK BY LOG FILE SEARCH

Playback by Log File Search: Select Start Date, End Date, Channel Number, Event Type and press Play button

The Log Search result will be displayed on screen, press on any log you wish to view the video file

You will reach the playback player similar as standard playback
