[Report Function] Health check of server virtualization

System Administrator can easily check the availability of resources by capacity report.

There is no increasing trend of resource

usage throughout the month.

The memory capacity grows

tense.

The action to add virtual hosts or

retrieve the allocated resource is

necessary.

Shall we plan to retrieve the resource

because of some machine has surplus

memory capacity.

Resource usage in time series Resource remaining amount report, Depletion/surplus machine ranking

[Report Function] Example of SSC Report

SSC outputs the report which shows resource information to manage the virtual environment. It’s possible to modify chart and table data of report.

See “Example of SSC Report.xlsx” in ITPF Portal.

[System Topology] Visualization of IT system

Display the component of IT System visually, and also check a warning in HW fault symptom and its effects range.

Complexity of grasping IT system. Easily grasp the configuration of business system. Detect business impact scope of HW failure.

System Administrator

Solution:

Quickly detect the trouble component because of visualizing IT system as topology.

Problem:

Because of complication of IT system, there is a risk to specify error component.

▌Error has occurred in VM host

Quickly detect the failure point and the cause.

ESX, Windows and Web group was influenced by

the VM host error

VM host Connection was faulted.

System Administrator must check the server NIC, network cable, switch port, and etc.

3. Power Sequence Control

[Power Sequence Control] Control IT system properly

When failover occurs, SSC prevents from illegal operation and data lost with controlling power order.

before (No SSC) after (SSC has)

To run IT system normally, it’s necessary not only saving per virtual machine but also per business system unit.

When failover occurs, SSC controls virtual machine according to machine dependency.

SSC check service status on machine and startup next machine. To do so, reliable system start-up can achieve.

(2)Web Server Stop(3)AP Server Stop(4)AP Server Start(5)Web Server Start

Manually

Manual operation is necessary because of Web and AP server

depends on DB server.

[Self Service Portal] User friendly Interface

Reduce system administrator costs through transfer of authority to tenant and automatic operation.

Before After

Problem:System Manager becomes a bottleneck, and It’s difficult to provide resources quickly.

Solution:By Self-service portal, tenant can do operation by himself, and administrator can reduce the management cost.
