Thesegoalswerecertainlyalltop-of-mindfortheleadersatJEDunn Construction,alargecommercialgeneralcontractorbasedinKansasCity,Missouri.Foundedin1924,thefamily-andemployee-ownedcompanyhas21officesacrosstheU.S.andoffersconstruc- tionservicesforawiderangeofneeds—fromhospitalsandschools,tohigh-riseapartmentsandofficebuildings.

Tokeepitsmanyprojectsrunningsmoothly,JEDunndependsupon itsDunnDashboards(project-specificcollaborationwebsites)tobeacentralhubforplans,drawings,specs,andotherdetails.However,keepingthesesitesup-to-datewasoftenachallenge.Ifteammembersgatheredinaconferenceroom,ideasweretypicallyjotteddownonanerasablewhiteboardornotepad.Then,someonewouldhavetomanuallyaddthesenotestotheDunnDashboard,soteammembersintheofficeandoutonthejobsitecouldviewallthesameinformationinrealtime.
